Filppula hasn't played well for the Lightning this year and his style of play isn't really a match with Hak.

I don't really understand this one.

Filppula is a deadline trade chip for next year if he is not taken in the expansion draft.

So basically we sent Streit to a possible cup contender, didn't lose any salary for next year, gained a 4th and a 7th, and should be able to bring up 1 kid for the rest of the season? Or does Filpula prevent that?

Pretty lame trade deadline....
