good amendment to the challenge rule for offsides calls would be whether the infraction directly led to the goal being scored. Grabner was offside and he eventually scored the goal, but he didn't score the goal because he was offside.

So in the Stanley Cup finals, you want to put a Jeopardy like timer on a goal that can decide the cup?
I want them to get the call right, if that means installing new cameras or getting better technology, so be it
They can do the same with the puck and the goal line as well. something like a chip in the puck and on the goal line to know for sure even if its under a goalie or in his equipment if it went in or not.

in this day & age .../1 min reviews are not real to you ? should be with some one

Just scrap it all together.

That would take even longer, because once they finally decide if it was offside or not, then the ref will have to go through the rest of the video to make a judgement call.

Some reviews result in a no-goal when the player who is offside never even touches the puck. That was never the intention of instituting the rule that resulted from the Duchene play. No challenge would be reviewed if it's not clearly based on the puck carrier or the goal-scorer who receives the pass being offside.

Deciding whether there's conclusive evidence isn't a judgment call made by humans? That's a rhetorical question.

Everybody who hates Girardi and Klein got a look at what the D-core looks like without. Was that the make or break on the loss, probably not. But it was a factor. You'll not convince me other wise that this team needs to be blown up. They have Stepan and Nash living up to their contracts. Lundqvist ins't getting younger. Klein has peaked. Staal and Girardi are too slow. But they can't rebuild it now cause they have 4 (frank)ing draft picks this up coming draft and 6 in 2018.

On me dit que l'état de santé de Patrick Sharp n'est pas assez bon pour qu'il soit échangé aujourd'hui par les Stars. #lavoiedubé

It is frightening that 3 of the core defensemen we have (ok maybe 2, Klein has always been a middle of the road guy) are on the wrong side of 30 & showing they're age to boot.

Let's see what we will get out of Smith starting tomorrow night. I do think unless he really wows us, he's just a rental.

You're leaving something out in your argument. A player goes offside and gets behind the D, the D now needs to adjust to that player and they are now out of the position they would normally be in. there is direct and indirect influence on plays.
That forward can draw the defensemen away from the play or create a screen, never touching the puck and resulting in a goal

Twitter a buzz saying that team can talk to Vegas about not taking certain players. But the price is a draft pick or prospect.

Yeah, I understand your intentions, and it makes sense, I really just wish they would scrap it. Imo.

Blow up isn't logical, but a huge shake up certainly is. They way I see it only 2 guys should be untouchable, Mac and Skjei. Anyone else could be dealt for a handsome package. Tell me what Dallas wants for Klingberg and Rousell and I'll get them from the airport
