Just in time to join SKA for their 2nd round matchup

You saying he's gonna bolt back to Russia? If so than start the rebuild in the off season.

It's so weird how RHD are the rare ones. Like most of the world is right handed, and I don't know about you but when I hold a hockey stick, it's just natural to hold it righty. Why the hell do so many righties choose to hold their stick lefty?
- rangerdanger94

No it's not! Don't remember the numbers, but it's like 3 lefts to 1 right or something.
I'm righthanded myself, like most, and shoot - or hold as you say - left.
Just the way it is kiddo.

He's not going anywhere, I just remember so many people freaking out that he would bolt the second he was sent to the AHL

Link to Buch's winner.

Nothing special. That's a goal 19 out of 20 times for someone of his calibre.

The only time I gave Jan crap for his blog, was when Buch was having his debut for the Rangers. I was expected something huge from Jan, cause I 'know' Buch gonna be an elite NHL'er. Well I could be wrong. And for sure he was crap quite a few times for SKA in the KHL last season. Who knows... sorry bout that Jan

I watched him in the WJC-18 in 2013. He was 2nd in scoring in that tourney with 11 points. Who was 1st? That's right - McJesus with 14 points.

Lets jump to last season in the KHL. I watched him in maybe 10 games and in many of those he looked 'bored'. Buch could imo be elite in the NHL, but who knows...

Me & 2 of my 3 brothers are right handed, yet we all shoot left handed w a hockey stick. And I 've seen people who are complete lefties in everything except they hold a hockey stick right handed.

Well lets say he has it in him - imo many Russian elite players has that. Although I don't think it's actually lazy. More about playing style.

Most of you North-American guys knows nothing about Russian hockey, but Scandinavian hockey players like myself does. The Russian hockey school since the great coach Tarasov was second to none and Buch is imo a typical example. Skilled like - forget it... When I read an article in ? don't remember - westchester something where he lived at that time... Buch gave an interview there and said that he lived alone and went alone to/ from training. I remember I disliked what I read. The guy didn't speak english and they left him on his own like this...

Seems to be the case across the board considering how much of a premium RHD are. Just doesn't make sense to me

I guess it's just the way it is as lesser Pete said

if you are right handed your right hand is your control hand. When you play hockey lefty the top hand on your stick does all the work, the bottom hand, your left hand, isnt required to do anything other than act as support. It makes sense for Righties to shoot lefty.
