Scoring is flat because their offense is rush based. Not a lot of strong cycle types on this team and league wide teams are getting into playoff grind it out mode. Even the bubble and unlikely playoff participants.

Buchnevich and Vesey look like they both are 25-30 goal scorers when they hit their peak.

They need the ice time though. Vigneault doesn't show enough faith in young players. Always been his weak spot in an otherwise solid coaching repertoire

But when you get on AV's good side, your golden. Look at what was up with Glass for so long & Klein & Fast now.

Let see if tomorrow you can say 3 positive things about the Rangers.

I have to see that again. saw it once, 20 years ago. I def liked that, don't remember the dialogue.
- B2B76

Haven't seen it for like 10 years now. Awesome movie.

"Look at the man, man. Him dead and he don't even know bout it" is a dialog me and my mates have joked about a lot. You gotta see it soooon, bro

You know that probably not going to happen.

Bruins on a roll, 2nd on the pk at 85.7 %, 13th on the power play at 20%

That's not a knock on the Rangers, but merely pointing out Bruins on a bit of roll after the coaching change.

Edit: But let's be honest, if Klein and Zibanejad they won't be 100%, Questions around Kreider's health, Girardi and Fast out Stepan(horrible lately) and Hayes not playing well.. Not looking good.

Sometimes these injuries can galvanize a team though. Not saying it will but you never know.

Whats going on with Nieves? He not playing good this year.

Re-sign Smith, go after Shattenkirk, deal Stepan before his no trade clause kicks in, buyout Girardi, trade Klein for a mid round pick or expose him to the draft and hope he gets selected.

Not in that order.

- MidnightMarauder

I agree with everything except signing Shattenkirk. Carrying a 7 million dollar cap hit until a guy is 35 will cost us one of our fowards when they're up for a contract. I was listening to Maloney last night heaping his praises but said it's pretty well known he struggles in his own end.

No good offensive d-men allowed here in NYC. Power play will just fix itself.

A guy who was on question marks in his game is having a bad first pro year. He'll probably be a bust.

I was wondering because he had a great preseason and actually if I remember correctly played a game at the start of the season, but haven't heard a peep about him since

He's only played 38 out of 55 games. Idk why. Only Jensen and Hellberg are playing well in Hartford. That team is a mess...because the Rangers have no prospects.

Edit: Graves also slowly improving.

They are but I believe the majority of their points are 5v5, it doesn't translate to the PP for some reason. Not a bad thing at all but if you want a good PP you have to have a good PP qb. And there is no argument Shattenkirk is pretty damn good on the PP

Not saying he's a bum, just saying at this point in his career I wouldn't sign him to a 7 year 7 million per contract. 1.5 years under 30 5.5 years over 30.

You pay for #'s like this.

He's got 3 less PP points than Yandle in 50 less games. Also has twice as many goals.
