Wait, is the stereotype that they were a heavy team now? I thought it was that they are all offense, no defense?
- Blackstrom2

LA was a heavy team.. they beat the Rangers in the Finals that year.
You need to have a physical presence in the playoffs, its a long tough road

For 90% of the year that they finished 8th in the Conference and won the Cup, I don't think many people think they had a shot then either.

I think they are an interesting team. I don't think they are a true Cup contender, but they have some pedigree and now have Quick back (not to mention Bishop), so I guess you never know.

I agree, but I'm looking at it more from Iginla's point of view. This really may be his last real chance for a cup. Why agree on waiving your NTC to go to LA? I doubt the Kings are the only team calling Colorado about his availability.

Go to #30 in this list. Did LA really sign this guy to a long term contract? With his health history and age? Did I miss something?

I don't believe EK, but if for some reason Barrie is available, I would be seriously interested in that.

Yup at around $4.5 million per year I think. When they signed him to it, I would assume that they though they were getting a break on the annual salary in exchange for more years.

True but the Rangers also lost 3 games in OT, 2 in double OT, those games could of easily gone the other way. Also the non goalie interference penalty in Game 2

Not me. I was all for it. Sell high. I do not think he has much more to offer than what we've already seen.
- mames11

He's a very good defenseman and would get us a haul.

I don't think there's a chance they'd move Skjei for anything at this point, he literally has become the best story of the NYR 2016-17 season

I agree. Rangers are heavy on the left side though. I would wonder if they could do something with a forward, picks and someone on D other than Skjei.

I just think Barrie fixes a gigantic glaring hole on the right side, and if there are offers Rangers need to be in on them.

Grabner took a crosscheck in hip from Clendening at practice, left early. Vigneault said call-up might be needed for tomorrow. #NYR
