Nylander has been great lately. - HealthyScratch6
And is having a great rookie season...after being the best player on the best team in the AHL last year... |

trade soft asses Bozak and Jvr, weak on the puck and weak on the boards, who needs them. |
|

Terrific. But let's trade him. This is the same guy who said Nylander has no hockey sense - PlatosRepucklic
Indeed, Nylander has zero hockey sense.
A lot of dangling, turning, skating, but 0 effectiveness.
He'll be traded in about 2 years from now when it's clear he's nothing more than a pp specialist with inexistent defensive skills and 0 battle. |

That was painful, just goes to show how far the Leafs are from being a good team. I would have hoped they could pull out a point at least for Andersen's efforts. JVR, Gardiner, and Hunwick had horrible nights. |

The whole team whiffed and we played poorly as a team for some stretches.
Nylander didn't play any worse than a few others and kept the play going at times, you don't trade him in less it's a definite D stud. IMO
Maybe not even then....great skater and great shot he'll mature and get better defensively. |

He's deadly on the power play and is just gonna keep getting better at even strength as he gets stronger. Once he fills out he'll be controlling the puck all the time like he does on the pp. |

I guess you missed the play earlier where he retained possession despite being knocked down, then danced through a couple and still got a shot off.
That said, I doubt that you have a TV in your large intestine, so this is not surprising |

I wish Babs would play the top lines more and line 4 less, especially a night like tonight. Boyle travels./ just traded to the 1 of or the biggest hockey market in the world and he plops him right out there. Bozak has the best faceoff percentage and used to play a pretty good PK and now he gets rare d zone it seems. |

FFS man.. I was just about to come in here and say leave that Maximus dude alone it's just his opinion..
A little food for thought, if you can't find a niche thing to hold onto or make you unique (like (frank)ing bird-man), you won't last. Even the most articulate cynics eventually fade away. A suggestion, take a couple days off, watch some games on mute, re-invent yourself in whichever form you want and come back with some fresh ideas.
Cause this "I'm gonna go against the grain because it makes me feel special" schtik is becoming mundane. |

so Marincin, Polak, Hunwick, Bozak, Martin, Komarov, the Goat, Hyman, Andersen, Rielly, Zaitsev, Gardiner, JVR etc. can all be criticized, but Nylander is 'no go territory'?
I don't like his playing style and I hope he gets traded for a player with a different style. |

He's a rookie on pace for what, 50pts?
Do you know how impressive that is?
Willy took some flak in the AHL playoffs last year for looking uninspired, and I don't think it was even an issue.. but this season he has been spectacular and it's puzzling to me how you could possibly expect more from him at this point. You are wildly underestimating him. |

no.
I am saying that I think Nylander will not be an all-star, and that the Leafs to be a better team, they should best trade him for another player that can contribute at both sides of the ice. |

Just wait a bit... 3 years down the road when the Leafs are contenders and they need that 2C behind Matthews you'll be very happy they kept Nylander. |

Love his style. Once he's playing centre it gives us a great dynamic with him and Matthews up the middle. Matthews excels down low and can put up points on the cycle and nylander can play make and score on the rush really well. Will be a great one two punch up,the middle. |
