Do you trade Kane and Kasdorf for Stafford, Armia and Lemieux, right now?

Yes/No

- TheSabresTaco

Should be:

Kane and Kasdorf for 2nd, Armia and Lemieux

(as a pending UFA, Stafford was at best worth a 2nd rounder)

If we include Roslovic, easily
- sbroads24

That wasn't the question.

Why are we ignoring Roslovic?

These debates are so weird

Yes, but it's a "sure, why not" kind of a yes, rather than an emphatic one.

Yeah, if the trade is being split apart, no way the 1st goes in the Bogosian/Myers half

Wold be more like Kane for 1st, 2nd, Armia, Lemieux

Solution: Get rid of bad players. Add good players. Change coaches. That's all I've got.
- 50GinosIn07

That's quite easy to say and harder to do. Just so po'd that others have progressed so much futher in 1 year. Sick and tired of being second rate. Cannot constantly change coaches and GM. Need some consistency. Can't just throw baby out with the bathwater. Trading players is solution, but it's garbage out, garbage in!

Myers and Bogo wash, (which Myers has been better up until this year)

Then it's Roslovic, Armia, Lemieux, Stiffboy for Kane and Krasdorf.

Personally, I think Roslovic is very good. Was excellent in the WJC.

If Kane was signed long term, this might be different

Just mentioned on WGR:

Jerome Iginla
"Dan Bylsma's system was the most complicated I have ever seen in my entire NHL Career"

The first thing that jumped off the page was that Mike said that Bylsma’s system “left very little room for creativity.” That’s a very concerning bit of information for a team that has creative players like Eichel and Sam Reinhart on their roster. It also takes me back to aforementioned decision to send a message to Eichel by taking him off the power play. It hasn’t come out why a message needed to be sent, but this makes you wonder.

Necciai also went on to discuss how forward Jarome Iginla indicated that Bylsma’s system was one of the most complicated he’s seen in his NHL career while with the Penguins. Bylsma also took a lot of heat in Pittsburgh for his misuse of Iginla in his brief Penguin career by playing him on the third line and on his off wing.

‘He was also extremely system driven and over complicated things.’ – Mike Necciai of The Hockey Writers

"Kane is in pace for". Scoff! Irrelevant!

"Armia is on pace for" totally justifies his value...

Funny how that works huh??

There are definitely flaws in Bylsma's system, whatever it is. It's just not the main reason why the team isn't living up to expectations.

Great. This city can just keep firing coaches.

Is this going to be Risto's 4th coach? Or 3rd?

I'd be willing to put it in the top 3.
If he is trying to over complicate things and not let the players be themselves.

So you'd rather tie mediocrity of one team to the other and not make moves because another team in the city did something?

No, I think Bylsma might have to be fired, I just think it's a very, very bad look for this franchise.

Guys are going to want to stop playing here soon. There is 0 stability

This team is scoring goals when healthy, which is what we all expected them to do. Defensively, it is an absolute tire fire. It might be "top 3", but #1 is defense, and the gap between #1 and #2 is at least 8 times wider than #2 and #3.

Meh. The average shelf life of a coach is about 3 or 4 years now anyway.

Of course, but there is usually a winning season bunched in there.

We've fired 2 losing coaches in a row, closing in on 3

I don't think he or Armia are very good.

http://www.cbssports.com/...-live-up-to-expectations/

Armia is a third or fourth line player to me, someone who is replaceable.
Agree to disagree.

We are at a shortage of 3rd and 4th liners here in Buffalo. At least thats what I read on the board all the time.

Why do you think that? Other teams fire coaches and get a spark from it
