Suckey Joel Armia scored
- sbroads24

Joel Armia 39 games played 7 goals 13 points

A true perennial powerhouse, if he can keep this rate up, he just might get 20 goals by next February.

I never called him a powerhouse, you said he sucks. Your statement was incorrect

He seems to be of the mindset "well...I guess i'm the best player on this line...I better do something to make poop happen" when he gets on his own. And last night he showed flashes of the player we drafted him to be.

When he is on a line with Jack or ROR it looks more like "I better get out of the way and let Jack/ROR do their thing...make sure I'm by the net for their passes"

I think it has to do more with having the puck on his stick as a center iceman instead of being on the wing. Completely different type of game from one position to the other.

Part of what makes Sam effective overall is that he has the ability to see the play develop faster than it actually does so he tends to be in the right place at the right time more often than not. He's shown he can do that as a center iceman as well as on the wing. He's versatile. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't think he is very good. IMO he will be a guy that bounces around teams for a few years and then heads back to Finland.

For a first round pick, he is borderline bust status.

Auston Matthews is great, but A ton of his goals have been him just capitalizing off of others. Eichel needs to benefit from someone else at some point. He needs a passer who can keep up with him, not Reinhart

He's on pace for 15 goals if he played a full season in his first real opportunity. I don't know how that's a bust, especially when he's relied on as a shut down player.

82 games played for Winnipeg 23 total points. .28 points per game.

He's roughly 24 and has yet to break out. I don't see it.

He is a replaceable player.

"Kane is in pace for". Scoff! Irrelevant!

"Armia is on pace for" totally justifies his value...

Apparently there was a bigger deal on the table for Tor/TB with Boyle but Fillpula rejected the trade to TOR.

"Armia has been an elite defensive player in shot metrics and seems to be coming into his own as a deceptive"

If people want to pretend that we gave up a bunch of crap, fine. But there are facts out there that say otherwise.

You know who kind of sucks? Grigorenko

Things to consider for Y:
Glue Factor
Punch people in the face ability.

- ImThatGuy

Is it ok to trade for Y if he has ability to punch face but also has face that needs punching?

Armia is a third or fourth line player to me, someone who is replaceable.

A. That's for fantasy hockey
B. He has 7 points in 12 games since that was written

You're right, he's not a world beater, he's just a really good defensive forward.

We're awesome defensively so I can see how he'd be useless here
