Can we talk about why the Lightning, in the same division only have one more point than the Sabres, but injuries totally aren't a thing?
- Wetbandit1

They are. Theyd be leading it if it werent for injuries. Difference is they are actually a good team when healthy.

Ahh, they're still 14 all the way out there?

And sorry about the City of Tonawanda.. I'm from NT and I can say we look sort of normal compared to there.

Yep, all the way past binghamton. I only spent two years in tonawanda, felt trapped up there. Ill always love the southtowns. Minnesota on the other hand

My top 5

I meant valimaki might be the second defenseman selected. I like him the best of them though.

I think he might be the first to be honest Heiskanen 2nd ( right now )

With Stamkos coming back they should make a run

They will. They could probably beat any team from the west not in illinois when healthy.

if TM truly thinks this was a playoff caliber team this year, Disco needs to be fired now. If not, he'll be kept another year (or less)

If we beat most of the poopty teams and weaker divisional opponents that we lost to we are either in the playoffs right now or very very close....

I see that as a lack of preparation by the coach. We have enough vets to rule out lack of experience by the players.

It's been a long time that I was as POd at a loss as I was last night . How can you lose a 2 goal loss 2x in a game. OMG this team is so flawed. Today is not the day to do this, but they really need to move out some assets to bolster the defense. The glaring weakness on the back end makes it difficult for any coach to have success, BUT Bylsma bears some of the blame for a system that only exposes our defensive liabilties in stead of compensating for it. The power play which had been somewhat successful, couldn't score on what was effectively a 4 on 2. Yes, the puck should be on the stick of your best player, but some of the shots taken by Jack were questionable. Slow puck movement and taking shots that can be easily handled just befuddle me. Yes this may not have been the year we should have been considered a playoff team, but being as close as we were and squandering opportunities to move forward is a joke. We should have taken a large step forward and yet we are still no better than a .500 team. I'm not going to criticize GMTM too terribly, he has brought in more talent and the future looks better. But he knew the weakness for the team and organization was on defense and not fully addressing this is serious case of being short sighted. Once again we use the city motto for our professional sports teams, "wait til next year"

Solution: Get rid of bad players. Add good players. Change coaches. That's all I've got.

Habs have one too many d-men, maybe we can move someone like girgs for beaulieu?

Edit: Girgs +, did not realize beaulieu was having a pretty good year.

What flavor of jam they have, as well.

How coarse their sandpaper is.

Last night was the first time that I've noticed Reinhart in months. I hate to say it but I think he is probably better off not playing with Jack.

He seems to be of the mindset "well...I guess i'm the best player on this line...I better do something to make poop happen" when he gets on his own. And last night he showed flashes of the player we drafted him to be.

When he is on a line with Jack or ROR it looks more like "I better get out of the way and let Jack/ROR do their thing...make sure I'm by the net for their passes"
