Just got in from date night with the wife...
7:20 left in the 2nd...so have watched 4 minutes roughly right...
Observations:
Reminds me of my son's U10 soccer game when they played banger ball....all individual play, everyone kicks the ball long and chases it...Dan Stupid-(frank)in Bylsma must be sooooo happy, he has the team playing the way he dreamed of, throw the long pass to nobody, chase it down, lose the race so it comes back the other way...hurray!!!
And people wonder why Fire Bylsma is the most popular chant in Buffalo.

Glad to see Gionta up his value...trade him for a 3rd!

E-Rod continues to prove his worth...nice find GMTM...I'm sure Disco Dumbo will put him on the PK full time soon enough.

More later, unless the brown liquor takes over.

Again not so much the value more that he identified kulikov as an upgrade to the top 4 (just my opinion though).

I'm surprised he could see him through the booze vision I'm sure he had on those trips to "scout" Eichel.

If you're referring to kane, ive said several times its not the player its the timing that bothers me.

I call bs on the kulikov one. His defensive short comings are all between the ears, not a result of lack of speed or something.

- Sabresfan-365

When you get down to it, it really starts to slice pretty thin in my opinion.

We won the Kane piece, which helps to offset the Bogo miss, but Bogo, Bogo,Bogo. Lets ignore the Kane piece and say Bogo was just an outright bad trade.

You, and you alone, knew Kulikov would be a complete bust here with or without the injury. I call BS on that, and take the dozens of professional opinions that were intrigued by the trade and wish they could have evaluated it on the ice.

So for one bad trade you condemn the guy to never trading defense again.

As I said, thin.

He did draft and vocally defend drafting Jared Cowen.

There's no way i was the only one who thought that, not even on here let alone among "hockey people"

Winning the Kane piece offsets the assets we gave up, thats what a good trade is supposed to look like. I dont know what the Bogo piece is doing in there.

This is rich.

Joel Armia's 12pt onslaught and two guys who can't get into the league - along with a tall skinny kid who's hurt even more than Kane - give you lots of good reasons to keep female doging about the trade.

- Der Kaiser

Its just lost on people that Kane is far and away the best player in the trade. And its not even close. I would wager quite a bit that both Lemuiex and Roslovic combined will never the success that Kane has had.

I'd give all we gave in the trade just for Kane. Who cares about Bogosian and Kasdroff.

Honest question, if we don't extend him, or he doesn't get us a good top 4 defender back, did we win anything? If we were making the playoff this year it would be different

A. This year, absolutely, he's been a beast
B. I'd be willing to wager that Jack Roslovic ends up an incredibly solid top 9 player.

Not to mention Myers salary of 3.5 mil is incredibly tradable, and not to mention Joel Armia has been one of the better defensive forwards around (and no I'm not kidding)

This will become a relevant conversation when and if he leaves the team and we can see what he brings.

I remember when Joel Armia was going to be a very solid Top 9. Now he's just one of the better defensive forwards around.
