I do like the idea of Mike Smith. Wonder of we shipped them Elliott, Wideman & our 1st for Smith. He has 2 years left like Fleury & that would be perfect timing & I like Smith way more than that MAF option. But I am happy with staying the course with Elliott & Johnson this year.

Wideman also has negative value right now. Do you really think the Coyotes want to trade Smith for what amounts to nothing but a mid to low first round pick?

Flames should have put Wideman on waivers today. Maybe the ref would be able to see the obvious once they are rid of the waste of money.

IMO, a first is a massive overpayment for Smith, never mind including Elliott... and the Yotes should stockpiling everything they can for assets, weak draft or not
