Goldobin is a decent prospect, I believe - could turn into another Russian sniper. - L_B_R
If San Jose wins the Cup the 4th becomes a 1st. |

Hansen to SJ for Goldobin and a conditional 4th. - DarthKane
Wow what an overpay. Am I missing something about Hansen? A career third/fourth liner who has never exceeded 40 points while having only 15 points this season for arguably their top prospect and a pick?
Don't even want to know what Vrbata and other wingers fetch tomorrow |

I think that's one of the only ways the Hawks would give up their 1st in 2017. The other way is if that's all it took to get a player like Johnson/Palat/Duchene, which would never happen lol. |

Hampus Lindhom is legit
Sami Vatanen
Cam Fowler
That is a pretty good trio and they are all 25 or younger... - kevndevries
They are going to have to trade one of those guys or Manson before the expansion draft if I'm not mistaken. |

Even McD would swap this year's 1st rounder for a Cup.

Did somebody say swap this year's 1st rounder? It awoke me from my broccoli nightmare |

Definitely overpay, but you're selling Hansen a bit short. His production per 60 rates and shot impact numbers are solidly middle 6, so he should be able to play up to 2nd line or be an above average 3rd liner. He's fast, drives possession well, and can play on the PK. The biggest issue is that he hasn't been healthy this year, so it's a bit of a risk. If healthy, decent add. Sharks are really worried about speed after last years finals.
The Sharks system is packed with skilled forward prospects, so while I'm surprised it was Goldobin, I think they felt comfortable dealing a prospect rather than another pick.
Edit to add: Looks like Goldobin might not have been too high to the Sharks FO? Friend who is a Sharks fan says he kept being jumped by other prospects to get the call up. |

Are there any rentals left that aren't vanek?
I hope we get a move for a decent player that will stay around, even if it costs a rookie or more. |

There aren't too many quality options left on the rental market. |

Why are you still awake? It is waaaaay past your bedtime. If Dad catches you posting this late he's going to ground you again. Especially with the deadline tomorrow. You better get to sleep mister! |

Not expecting the hawks to do literally anything tomorrow but will still be checking for updates every 5 minutes on here for rumors haha |

In all seriousness would it surprise you at all if GMs were up still talking and trying to sort things out? I wonder how many hours of sleep the average GM gets on this night. No doubt a late night followed by an early morning. |

Weren't many to begin with, but they are all but gone and some bad ones are as well.
I hope this means bowman is going towards a good player that we are going to keep around, but we will see.
Most likely he stands as is, and we have a good series with minny in the second round. Hopefully they play someone heavy and get beat up a bit, otherwise It'll be a rough one.
bowman prove me wrong please. |

It wouldn't surprise me. My guess is that they have some unwritten rule about not starting anything at midnight. But I could see ongoing negotiations continuing until they were completed tonight.

I doubt there is any unwritten rule. I am sure some GMs will stop answering the phones at 12 and say I will get back to you first thing in the morning, but if they are willing to listen I think some GMs will pursue things relentlessly |
