Must be a really good lower line add to give up all that, cap considerations notwithstanding

Ahhhh, probably not all at once lol

That's a lot of cleared cap space. Much, much more than you'd need for Ott at $800K AAV.
- Marlowe

It might get someone like Fillpula. Maybe even Johnson. However, that's definitely an overpay for Ott.

I would take a flyer on Eric Fehr too.

Yeah the Jets looked bad in that one.
- kinigitt

Or the Hawks were just the better team normally in the matchups and finally got reward with a win.

The Hawks went 1-4 against the Jets - beat them the last time finally like two and half weeks ago.

Right, I forgot that one.

Was he someone who thought TVR was meant to be a true #4? I know that's where he got slotted last year due to depth issues, but TVR is a solid, if unremarkable 3rd pair guy. He's better playing low-event hockey, but he can jump into the the rush if need be and will be rewarded for the latter on occasion. Smarter than he is skilled, probably.
- L_B_R

Unremarkable would be a extremely cmplimentary term for what he thinks of him. Especially after his turnover at the blueline the other night.

If the Swedes (Hammer, Oduya and Kruger) are 100% healthy and ready to go by April 1st, I like the Hawks chances. In other words if Kruger can get his wrist or hand or whatever it is that is injured back to 100% - then he is our PK faceoff guy. Unfortunately I have no idea what the prognosis and recovery time is.

Tyler Johnson winning 52% of draws this year. Better than his career average of 49.6%. Maybe he would be an option. What would that take?

Pens were 65-0-0 when leading after two. Stars score 3 in the 3rd to win 3-2.

Hopefully the Pens will realize after that fiasco that they need to be sellers tomorrow.

Haha. Sorry wasn't being rude. I'm not comfortable trying to envision what would go the other way for someone that wouldn't be a good fit with what we currently have in the top six. Expiring contract too, at 3.3 cap hit. Do I have that right?

Pizzaman's back! , that is a Deeeep Defense , let's see who are the 6, Seabrooke, Keith, Hjalmersson, Oduya, Campbell, TVR. Once the playoffs start Rosy will be spotted in there, where does that leave Kempny?
Next move is Iginla, and he'll play with Toews and Panik.

So we don't need the coffee mug then?
