Well there was about 50000 crosschecks Suter was owed payback for over his career. Half of them were on #19 of the Hawks. My eyes aren't wet over it. - RickJ

No kidding RickJ....no tears here in the Chicago Burbs either. Sometimes paybacks are a female dog. |

Wild up 3-1 after one against the Jets. Guess Suter got boarded by Postma. Got a 5 minute major and Suter was down for like 5 minutes. Don't know how bad he's hurt but the Wild guy for the Star Trib is Michael Russo on twitter said he's not looking too good now per Russo. - ILGolfer
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Suter is a POS that should spend a lot more time in the box. Don't know what he has on the league- but the guy plays a cheater game. Anyone can play the minutes he does when they hold as much as he does. |

Honestly I don't know if I would trade him for anything less than Debrincat and 2018 1st. (possibly even more) |

@ChrisHine
Looking at the roster math ... someone's gotta go when Hjalmarsson is ready to return. Tootoo or Desjardins to waivers possibly?
BUT -- @BrianHedger
@ChristopherHine Thought the 23-man roster went away after the deadline ... as long as you stay under the cap? |

And why would you? He's already a solid player, definitely a building piece.
Really happy with the Oduya signing, Blackhawks get their depth D pickup with a guy that knows the system and at a great price.

Hey hawkey.....what's JO's bonus structure? Assuming you're referring to his. - ILGolfer
Was referring to the bonuses that will come due for Campbell and Breadman. Whatever doesn't get paid with the remaining cap space will be carried over to next year. This year it was something like 3 mil. |

Does anyone think there is anyway we could get Lowery from the Jets? |
|
|
|
JJ, if the hawks are going to most likely trade Crawford before the draft and get a 1st round pick, what's wrong with trading the 1st rounder we have now and get a piece to put us over the top?

He's young so he is probably too expensive for what he actually brings to the table. |

Not sure they could get a 1st. Yeah Crawford is a stud but the goalie market and the Hawks cap situation is a recipe for low-ball offers. |

Honestly at this point unless the Hawks opt to swing a major deal for Duchene or Drouin I don't see a small move to be made. Addition through subtraction for a bottom 6 forward makes no sense. Why move young bottom 6 players for older ones?
My guess, if a deal is to be made for Duchene or some other expensive piece, Hammer ends up on LTIR to make it happen. Honestly though if I am Stan, I would throw as much as I can at the Lightning to make a Drouin deal happen, solidifies your LW weakness and can be flipped if he can't be resigned this offseason. |

If Yzerman didn't trade him last year when he and his agent had their temper tantrums, why would he now? |

McNeil and a conditional plus some of Oduya's salary retained seems light for Oduya. Did Oduya have a no trade or modified no trade and force Nill's hand a tad as far as where he would go?
Any idea on this? - Mr Ricochet
Oduya did have a NTC - list was 17 team he could be traded to. |

He was overrated in juniors. Has terrible possession numbers. Just overall a very limited player. Really looking at things everyone from his junior team pretty much sucks now. |
