Whats next or is that it. Are the Hawks the one that offered for lazar?

Seriously, McNeil and a conditional seems light for Oduya. Did Oduya have a no trade or modified no trade and force Nill's hand a tad as far as where he would go?
- Mr Ricochet

Ric - think maybe they were able to argue that he's so fresh off IR that a discount was warranted?

McNeil and a conditional plus some of Oduya's salary retained seems light for Oduya. Did Oduya have a no trade or modified no trade and force Nill's hand a tad as far as where he would go?

Any idea on this?

Hard to believe there wouldn't be any other teams interested in JO though. Like JJ said, I hope he's near 90-100%.

Not sure, could be Nill was rewarding JO for his service, maybe the D market softened after Shattenkirk and Smith moved, I will probably here something before too long

Sure they can argue that but the market is set by the bidders. Someone offering more then it's a moot point.

Good to see the team get someone to slot in at 4-5 on D and can play some PK. The important thing is the Hawks paid a low price. Glad to see it.

Very interested, not that it matters. Oduya is a Hawk and that's a good thing, hopefully!!

I'm just so off on this year's TDL compensation in these moves and am curious as to the circumstances on this deal.

Wonder if Nill was replaying Stan for the Sharp debacle???
- Matt_Foleys_bro

Why would he repay?Unless he wanted to have a better relationship going forward after he butt raped Stan while he was vulnerable.

Once Hammer is recovered and as long as him and JO can gel like they used to, this may be the deepest our D has been for a cup run.

And give McNiell a fresh start. Far as I know he's kept his head down and mouth shut as he's passed over time and again for a call up.

You know what MrP.....if that Hawks can make it out of the West, I don't give a sh*t who they play.

In fact, it would be an epic series if the Caps make it out of the East. I would think it would be the highest rated Final in a long time. And besides, how sweet would it be for the underdog Blackhawks to deny Ovie his Cup.

Especially since TVR didn't go the other way

2-7
4-27
51-57

or some permutation of that looks mighty fine

The "Lord of No Rings" Jim Nill really swindled the Hawks in paying Sharp 12mil - who's missed 30+gms in his 2 seasons there....qnd is damaged goods now. Oh...amd DAL is a dumpster fire

Enjoy McNeill, Johns, Niemi and the rest of the Hawks Rockford rejects
