Ah great news.....the Hawk-Wild game on Sunday the 12th has been moved to 11:30 am. Which is really 10:30 am because of the time change a few hours earlier. Players will be sleep walking the first 10 minutes.

Big trades at the Deadline VERY rarely ever work out for a team due to the short amount of time a player has to acclimate with his new team. Guys who are added to a team and are not expected to be THE difference maker end up being the better deals.

From our perspective, I'm sure the Hawks would love to make a big splash to keep with with Minny, but they don't wanna mortgage too much of the future for a possible upgrade down the stretch.

To me, all we're gonna get a small move for a Depth D-Man and a Center with a good rep for taking FO's and that'll be it.

The Blackhawks have way too much cap space to do nothing.. So there is that

I agree. I think both would be HUGE upgrades to our team for the Playoff run but our cap is gonna prevent us from doing both. It's possible to get one or the other. I'd lean more towards getting another D-man who can play in the Top 4 and then a solid cheap veteran who can win some draws to put on the 3rd/4th line until (hopefully) Kruger can get healthy enough to win some himself and could slide back up to the 3rd line. An Oduya and a John Mitchell type seems the likely path IMO

I just can't see any other reason to extend Rozsival at this time of the year. Typically the Hawks would waiting till August/September because of his age. That's what they've done before. As CanOCorn pointed out it's expansion draft fodder, but fodder that's only needed if TVR isn't on your roster.

Following DAL game tonight, team doctors will meet with Patrick Sharp about an injury that has nagged him for awhile.... possible he wont be traded as a result. Jim Nill declined to discuss specifics, but word is he's been honest with other teams. Word is that Sharp has tried to play through it, but getting tough

Well, speculation is the TVR might get you Oduya and while you might argue him being a 'Top 4 Dman' he will play like one on the Hawks... Hell, it wasn't too many moons ago that he was amongst the ONLY 4 Dmen when the Hawks last won the cup. Not to mention seamless integration... Then you're left with a 2nd and a mid-tier prospect to go and get your top 9 center. Totally doable. Both pieces for a 2nd, TVR and a lottery ticket...

Yeah, this sounds about right. Like I mentioned earlier it seems to me that with the Rozi extension the Hawks are getting ready to deal TVR. Why not for Oduya.
