Zawaski seemed to have the best inside track last TDL. Makes sense to me too as there are no assets of sufficient value being offered by SB for anything but a bottom six F.

I think now JO is not a possibility either.

The Hawks want to do it so badly but couldn't match the Leaf's offer for Boyle. Stevie Y must really think Froese is his replacement for Tyler Johnson next year and Stan had nobody better.

All quiet on the western front. Hawks front office must be in defcon 2 mode in regards to offers and phone calls.

Speaking of Tyler, when he got signed after the draft, he was choosing between the Hawks and Tampa. He chose Tampa. Hard to think the Hawks don't still want him.

Price is going to be too high, unless Nill feels desperate enough. Most teams in the market now can/will offer more then SB can/will.

Following DAL game tonight, team doctors will meet with Patrick Sharp about an injury that has nagged him for awhile.... possible he wont be traded as a result. Jim Nill declined to discuss specifics, but word is he's been honest with other teams. Word is that Sharp has tried to play through it, but getting tough


For those who maybe still wanted Sharp this year.

Hard to imagine there being anything too serious about Hammers back problems if they are already projecting a return just one week away.

Probably best for him to rest a few games and get rid of whatever soreness/pain he's dealing with.

Maybe they can work a cheap deal for Korpikoski.
