I understand getting it right but this nonsense where a skate is off the ice but still over the onside part of the line needs to stop. If it's that close it seems that these calls are getting away from the spirit of the rule. Also if you enter and it's a millimeter off sides and you control the puck for a considerable amount of time, the off sides should have a window in which it can be called. A bang-bang goal immediately after a missed off sides should be what this rule is trying to eliminate. To me anyway.

I completely disagree with everyone who complains about this. If the shoe was on the other foot you (plural) wouldn't be saying it. It a simple black and white rule, offsides is offsides.

I think it sucks either way and the amount of time it takes is ridiculous .

Meh, playing the best team in the east minus Zib, G, Klein, and a 50% Kreider. Other than a smart challenge this game would be tied up right now. Rangers aren't going to dominate a whole game

There's nothing the deadline will do to change how poorly our turns into poop during a game, that was one of the worst periods of the season, lucky it's not 6-1, the turnovers are far too consistent for a contender, I hope they're done trading

I'm not against the review or the rule. But I think it may be able to be better implemented. It's not terrible as is but sometimes the length of these reviews is getting out of hand. The time given to the team making the challenge before hand has also increased significantly. It may be worth a tweak or two.

Not saying dominate the whole game but we have seen this even when they are healthy I expect A push back from a top team like Wash. But then the team has to raise their game to another level. Like I wouldn't be surprised if they come out flying in 3rd like they have most of yr.

I can respect that, not sure what they would change but thats fair. I'm never a fan of putting a time limit on things, especially hockey where one goal can decide a game or a even the stanley cup. I say take as much time as needed to get the call right.

they're wilting more lately and its painfully obvious sometimes. 20 shots against is brutal

Asking Kampfords about his name not being on the cup because he only played 38 games but by rule needed to play 41 lol

The part where the skate needs to be on the ice to count as on sides is first on my list. The line shouldn't only be on the surface, it should be a plane that is either clear of the players body or they're still on the line. If any part of their body is over that line it's on sides.

I can see that argument if it want to be made, but that has ALWAYS been offsides. so they would be changing a rule that has been called the same way forever

He should have replied back. "Yeh it hurt Al, but at least I still have MY stanley cup ring. I didn't sell mine like you did and then claim it was lost/stolen." lol
