Depends. If there is any truth to Carolina being after Dutch from Colorado, I think that ends up their play and they are done. If they are not in on Dutch, then perhaps a chance there to pry one of the young d out.

Honestly I like Boyle and good to have a solid vet to be in there with some playoff experience. I hope re-signing would not be too expensive too as Matthews, Kadri, Boyle, and Goat look pretty good up the middle really.

Agreed: I think the Avs will be looking for picks and Carolina is not likely to give up their 1st rounder this year. I heard somewhere that the price was a first a second and a top level prospect.

They wouldn't be the worst trading partner tbh... I'm not sure what their expansion draft status is on those players though.

Connor will probably chug along at Sids pace.. I don't really care about what Connor will or will not do, just nice to see fans of other teams give AM the credit he deserves, especially Oilers fans because they have the one player who's considered more valuable.

I think Laine may even get a couple titles, definitely goals. It would be pretty cool to see McDavid finish with Jagr pts but in like 200 less games, or break 2000. He has that potential.

With the Boyle trade being essentially a rental, at least as it stands, I wonder if the Leafs will try to re-sign him in the summer AND if Boyle would be open to it, especially if someone like Bozak is moved out. He might be a good fit as a strong vet on a young team on the upswing.
