Because Hamhuis and Kulikov are better defensively.
And Gardiner has high value now, he's got some good offensive tools (which Leafs don't need that much looking at the d-depth).
as well, I was indicating including Gardiner in a potential deal for Landeskog; I wasn't suggesting a Gardiner for Kulikov deal (you seem to imply this somehow).
