This tells me one of Kadri/Bozak is gone by Wednesday but the leafs want the kids to have incentive to continue to push this year. Nylander is the long term replacement at center.

The Boyle deal only makes sense if they have another deal in place.
They aren't getting a second rounder for Smith.

But maybe they have a better deal in place to move Bozak or Kadri to improve the d line. Then Boyle becomes the short term replacement.
