If we don't get a top 2 pick, I am actually rooting for Eeli Tolvanen.

I like him too.

Did you not gain any weight after the age of 17-18?
- Whiskey-Tango

Nope.
Only my waste a bit & actually dropped weight once my high sports activity ceased.
I'm not the average example though & I didn't let myself go.
Players adding weight/muscle does not always translate well IMO.
I'm all for Hockey IQ & how strong players r on their skates.
Slight C's r either highly talented or destined to be a winger.
Skill & speed top my list as priorities. Eg BB

I'm pretty confident Pettersson is the C on that line from what I have read. Other sites has him at 162 and 165.

He is definitely slight but also 6'2 so should fill out a bit.

- belcherbd

Dahlen is a LW who can play C but with his skillset LW makes more sense so i would assume Pettersson is the C

A 20yr old can improve skating quite easily once in the system.
In Jr's or other leagues the opportunity to get 1 on 1 training is not often available.
Skating & strength training is part of after the draft & developing of prospects.

If this is true why do you have an issue with Pettersson?

Have him train with Virtanen in the offseason. Problem solved.

Does anyone know where Dorsett is??? still rehabing? haven't hear anything about him in a looong time
- GloveHandStrong

Yeah he had surgery from the same doc that did Mannings neck. Which means, he had some significant issues. But that guy is a pretty good doc so hopefully the outcome is good.

He got this one right. Even if it doesn't pan out it's the thought that counts.

Haven't back read but I assume the reactions were positive.

Seems like a fantastic trade for Vancouver.

I don't know...it's wide open after 3 for me.

Nico
Patrick
Mittelstad

Vilardi
Petterson
Necas
Tippet
Liljegren
Glass

- CanuckDon

Im hoping for a top 5 pick and im happy with any of nico, patrick, mittelstadt, liljegrin or vilardi.

if we cant get one of those then trade back a few spots for a second asset and take best player left and hopefully its a center or offensive dman with top pairing potential.

I havent read back either but i assume so.. I never thought wed get basically a 2nd for him. I would have been happy with a 5th

Now we just need to get anything or nothing for miller because he keeps winning games which at this point im not cool with

No issue other than its my observation.
Lastly we r not picking him ahead of better players IMO.
We would need to get another 1st or trade down before he is picked by us.

This is the one.

If Hansen does not get traded... he was not a UFA.

If Miller does not get traded.... goalie markets are unpredictable.

So Maybe Edler comes in play now.

Dorsett is here in town, rehabbing. Kuzma had a good update last week.

Also, the fact that Benning fixed his only real shortcoming --- not getting a 2nd last season --- was a bit of magic. Burrows literally was traded for a 2nd. No matter what happens, that was some good GM'ing.

I've been on moving Edler for assets in return all season.
Nothing to do with not liking him either just we need prospects.
He is fast entering his twilight years soon & not in the picture when we r ready to seriously compete on any deep PO run. The hurdle is bringing pressure to bear to force him to waive his NTC in some form. How idk but thats difficult.

But Carol =----- who the heck will be in the lineup tomorrow night? Loss of Burrows means another call-up???? Do we see Jake again??

Thats it exactly. Nothing wrong with him.... his age and place in his own career are not conducive with moving forward with a rebuild.

However.... I would not trade any other D-man. I think Gudbranson will be key once he gets a full season under him.
