My GM hat is pretty small. I would think half the point of trading Giroux is to get rid of the contract and half to get some value who could potentially replace him. That trade would have to have quite a few picks to make up for losing him.

Which is what most of you have been saying, you wont be able to replace what you lost by trading him.
