What could the Habs offer that would workout in a trade for G? - opeth_pa
Shaw, Lehkonen (boom or bust type- currently injured), 1st rounder (2017) and 1st rounder (2018)
3. Artturi Lehkonen, Left/Right Wing
Age: 21
Ht/Wt: 6-0, 174
2015-16: Frolunda (Swe)
Drafted: 55th overall in the second round of the 2013 draft by Montreal
After breaking Daniel Alfredsson’s SHL scoring record and leading his team to a SHL Championship, he came to North America and made the Canadiens out of training camp. In his first 12 NHL games he posted two goals and three points before an injury.
He can be an impact player after playing pro hockey for the past four years in Finland and Sweden. He is accustomed to the pro game and playing against men already. Lehkonen has an excellent shot, is a very god skater and has a high compete level. |

I would be thrilled, but why would they part with him? I guess we already saw the smaller side of this with the burrows trade. Just cant picture that trade happening. |

They wouldn't be making much of an impact to their playoff chances if they traded Galchenyuk. I don't see it happening. Though I admit, it would be awesome.
I really don't think the Habs are a good trade partner to be honest, but someone asked for a stupid offer so there it is. |

That's a question for J35Bacher... I swear he's said in the last week or so that he thought MTL would be a good trading partner for Giroux, along with OTT. It starts with taking back a contract though.
EDIT: taking back a bad * contract though - arichardson22

montreal has 2 second rounders this yr and 3 next so i wonder if they can pry one away for Streit or MDZ. i know they picked up Benn but wouldn't they be better than Beaulieu or Nesterov? |

I didn't laugh at your suggested teams or proposals, I laughed at your Vinny 2.0 comparison. I agreed with your Nash trade comparisons and mentioned Kessel myself. When I said that's a question for you I wasn't being sarcastic either. |

It would actually be moderately amusing if Giroux was moved at this deadline, NMC and all, while Streit stayed put. |

Montreal would be tough. You might have to take a bad deal like plekanec or shaw. But if you take plekanec not sure how you get galchenyuk. Not aure they have the center depth loose two guys.you might look at aomething like plekanec, Gallagher, 1st rounder, stefan matteau for giroux, laughton. Ottawa actually works better then montreal. |

Radulov and Pleckanec coming back - Landsbergfan
Plecks coming back would actually make sense for cap reasons. We could trade him at the next deadline for a 1st probably too. That said I've got little interest in anything the Habs have in their farm system. And not much interest in anything else they have.
If G were being dealt I think there's a better deal to be had. |

If he's available I would kick the tires on a guy like Anthony Duclair. All the talent in the world and is a offensive skilled winger, just what we need. Again, I dont know what it would take to make that happen, but if were all about the future then that seems like a good fit, assuming Arizona is really willing to deal him... Id' say Drouin but I dont believe for a second he's available |
