I could probably do 20 per genre!

some unmentioned 70's flicks...

-Logans Run
-the Omega man
-Westworld....

I love all 3 of those

Another really really weird flick is the Vanishing point.
Jfitz would probably hate it. No studio would fund it today, but im glad it exists.
the band Primal Scream wrote an entire album about it.

I like Tarrentino too...
I could not get through Jackie Brown
Tried to watch it multiple times

True Romance is my fav movie (kinda) by him

Most of the stuff on your list is 70s stuff that I'm not into
Aliens, Empire Strikes Back & Good Will Hunting are really good imo

- jdfitz77

If you like action you desperately need to get into Asian crime films.

Hard Boiled
The Killer
A Better Tommorow
Bittersweet life
company Man
Drug Lords
The Raid:Redemption
Oldboy
Infernal Affairs

As long as youre not one of these wimps that cant handle subtitles...thats where the best Action films of the last 20 years come from.

I don't HATE Clint...
but most of his movies are from before my time
Slow moving plot lines
Not enough action

I'm a HUGE movie guy
But older stuff that isn't Sci-Fi has always been tougher for me to watch

Citizen Kane isn't the best movie ever...
it's BORING
Rosebud my a$$

- jdfitz77

Lawrence of Arabia and Patton are super long and are some of the best movies ever.

And while we're on old movies Dr. Strangelove gets better every time I see it. Merkin Muffley is the best movie name of all time.

I guess they used a Camaro at the end of Vanashing Point because it was a lot cheaper than the Challenger. lol They just modified the body to look like the Challenger.

Subtitles are fine,
But it's still that 70s style filming & storytelling that I can't get past

I fell asleep watching Enter the Dragon last night actually
(It was late)
Classic Bruce Lee... but again, not the style film/ storytelling I prefer

They did that in a lot of car movies in the 70s/80s
Stunts had to all be done with little to no effects,
So they'd constantly ruin vehicles
Lots of times could only do a take or 2 of a particular scene bc of it

Vanishing point is just a weird movie. probably best viewed under the influence of "herbal supplements" I think it might get boring if one is waiting on action to happen.
