I think a 2nd is reasonable...on the high end. A first is pie in the sky. Lack of alternatives is one thing but do you think any team sees him a piece to get them to championship glory? That's the only reason you sacrifice a 1st round pick. If anyone who thinks they have a shot takes him it's for depth . Nobody pays a 1st for depth.
If anyone takes him for a key position in their top 4 they are a long shot at best to get out of the 1st round....in which case the 1st is probably 15-20. Zero chance.

Some need to keep up with the Caps if they want a legit shot at beating them
U also wanna prevent someone else you're competing with from getting him

So I'd say a 2nd is the minimum we'd get
A 1st probably isn't lucky, but that's why I said "maybe"

Yeah but I don't think snagging Kulikov is a difference maker in beating the caps....and I doubt anyone will be concerned that someone else gets him....not for the price of a 1st anyway.

And who really thinks Kulikov is any better than Hainsey?
