Do you happen to have a site that has win% in shootouts by year/period?

I just heard it on the radio a couple days ago...

He doesn't get that.. He would rather point out how people are wrong..
- bixll

No no keep trying.
I get it.
But the reality is OTL is Overtime loss...which is a loss. So when it comes wins and losses.
The leafs have lost more games than they've won. That's just the reality.

But in this system with the loser point....the 13 loser points makes them a playoff team...and as I said several times....I'll take that.

I was at the doctors office waiting for a check up when this guy with a premature ejaculation problem came out of nowhere.

So lets say Leafs "scratch and claw" their way into the playoffs this season, not to be a skeptic but lets say they're bumped first round game 7 tho as the kids came out swinging and gained a poop ton of experience.

Now any idea who Hunter and Co may be targeting at the draft. Going best player available or targeting young D (tho they will probably need 1-2 yrs of seasoning) does that fit the Big 3 rebuild timeline?

Anyway I have no clue about the Draft/prospects this year, didn't even run the simulator this season (What a time to be a Leafs fan)

Hoping for 4 of the 6 points on this road trip, would be great to beat Randy's team

- BKups

Im hoping they still go with get the best player available, but with a leaning towards some higher D draft picks if possible.
But if we finish with a mid first rounder, Im all for moving it for a piece that fits their current plan.

Well....again thats the rosie goggles way to look at it, sure.
but its labelled as a OTL...there are no ties....they are all losses. Not all in the shoot out either...but I think most.

But whatever gets them into the playoffs

- Fakepartofme

Its not a loser point, its a tie.

Gotta flip your perspective to a winners point!

I am glad the Leafs picked up McElhinney, he has come in as a backup and been solid getting secondary points.

Yep it's a pretty poopty draft. Top 10 is the weakest we've seen in a long time.
- Santo_44

that's why trading a 2017 1st rounder MAY be a possibility for ShanaLouCock to consider - given the "right" return.

but if a 1st rounder is needed to get you a Hanzal... then perhaps they should just hold onto it... until the draft... when the LV picture will be clearer.

there are few teams who will lose guys to LV for nothing... and may be wanting to trade them for some type of return

3 out of 6 would be amazing. This is a tough trip.

It would be nice, just meant in term of making the playoffs.

yeah we have 3(*edit 2 second rounders - 1 goes to Anahiem) second round picks but are missing the 3rd, perhaps they do the 1st and a 2nd if they really think a player is their guy in the 5-15 slot

Not my outlook just the reality. But yes the extra point goes to the winner, the loser still gets a loser point...even though they lost the game.

Anywho, no need to get your knickers in a knot
It's ok, the leafs are still a good wittle team! They are going in the right direction

You keep calling it the loser point... In the history of the NHL, after 60 minutes and the score is a tie, they each get a point..

Why be a Richard and call it the loser point ?

If we're serious about making the playoffs....a tweak in the D needs to be done.
If not, I feel they don't care about this year.

There must be an upgrade available for cheap?

Agreed.
But I think the price high for Hanzal simply because of where we are in the calendar and what is coming up. After the playoffs, in the off season..I cant see a player of Hanzal's type getting a 1st rounder.
Plus if they were to move the 1st...I could see it being as part of a package

Agreed
That's what Ive saying for weeks.
It doesnt have to be a big splash...like a trade for shattenkirk..but more along the lines of depth d.
Improving the 5-6 spots.

In the history of the NHL, it use to be 2 pts for win (OT or Reg), 0 points for loss (OT or Reg) and point each if they were tied after OT.
Im not being a Richard about it....I didnt name it the loser point...that's just what everyone has called it since they came up with this new system.
Quit making this personal.....I didnt name it.

Hanzal, Boyle.. market value all is 1st rounder (+).

Leafs have no need to add a guy like Boyle, since they already have a younger version in Gauthier.. (Gauthier's playing better and better)
