We should trade a 1st round pick for OEL and then after the playoffs trade him back for a 7th rounder. or something like that.

Western road trips are tough. I am not optimistic unless Marner and Bozak return. Only wish Bozak to return so other awful center does not play.

What I'm getting at is you don't settle for trading JVR for a mediocre return. They will be looking for a replacement for him if they did trade him. They need JVR

They just need a top pairing d man even more. And if a team isn't willing to give up an established one. Then the Leafs aren't trading him
