I didn't mean Doan as a viable option to come here. I think if anything the Hawks may trade for a depth dman who can kill penalties.
- Al

Al , what are we gonna do about some size up front, you know how the playoffs go, different animal. Prolly little 2"11 Hinostroza makes it back here soon. Bowman should have not come out and said anything about those kids regarding trades come. Wed, that kind of limits what could get done by wed. What are you hearing on Lazar?
I'd rather see a deal like that vs some of the other crap being floated. I'll admit , I'm on the ledge hear a bit. Not many options out there.

Thinking that number one spot in the western conference is more valuable since the Preds are coming on and the Blues giving up on this year.

Niskanen? Wilson?
- 93Joe

They overpaid for Niskanen when he was a UFA, remember? He's inked at 5.7 mil per through 20/21. The reason they haven't signed Shattenkirk is cuz of the cap.......

Now Carlson comes in at 4 mil through next year. Carlson and Vrana, their top prospect? Lotta goalies in that system too.

You don't consider reaquiring Sami Lepisto and Joakim Nordstrom viable options? They know the system - plug and play.

Tough call for Blues management - either keep Shatty to give yourself a better chance this season knowing you get nothing for him after the season - OR - trade him now and get something but tell your fans you're not doing everything possible to win this season.

If I'm a Blues fan I'm pissed.

Agreed MrPaul......but how dumb is Boudreau? Just wasted his only timeout. And it showed him looking at a big screen at the bench and he STILL challenged it. Looked pretty clear on NBCsn. Starting to think all those game 7 losses aren't just bad luck.

Not hearing anything worth repeating on Lazar or anyone else.
I think the kids in the lineup here now won't get dealt and outside of Motte and Forsling I don't think Stan's phone will be ringing much.

Also...this time around is different-Hawks have fewer bullets to fire and next year will be a test with cap restraints and could be much worse if Stan deals a well thought of young roster player....Hawks need inexpensive help for next year for sure.

Not saying the right strategy is to not go all in now...But the flat cap and the fact a lot of young players have been dealt the past few years makes it tougher for StanBo to pull the trigger.

The Game 7 losses, mostly at home and have happened too many times to be coincidence. Gabby is fortunate he is surrounded by two good assistants.

If I'm a Blues fan I'm only pissed they didn't move this spoiled brat last June

As for today , Armstrong did the right thing and the fans should be pleased.

As a side bar I think the Dressing Room will also be happy to see this saga finally end.

I hear you Ebony, the playoffs are tough enough and now you made your team weaker, we complain about a #4 defenseman since Oduya's departure, man oh man top 4 dmen don't grow on trees.

I don't think there is a different market for the Hawks more an issue of a lack of quality trade bait and unwillingness to part with better, younger-inexpensive players they will need for next season.
- Al

Hey Al-- I understand the bait is limited-- maybe even more so by the 'marketing mandate' to not trade 2017 early picks

But Byron Froese isn't some elite prospect that the Hawks were unable to match-- is he?

I surmise that Bowman didn't really want Boyle-- all things being equal on the trade front--

I agree.... Then Rocky will just have to accept the fact that it's 3 maybe 4 playoff games total at home and that is it.
Next year, something has got to give either with the cap or 1 of these guys is getting dealt, when they miss the playoffs next year, is it time to at least listen to who will over pay for Toews or Kane. 1 of those 10.5 has to be eliminated , any projection in the 18 draft of a potential absolute franchise stud being eligible for the draft?
Your 2nd paragraph, oh geez more Rasmussens ! Whoooosh

Get to see how Hanzal and White play tonight for the Wild.

If Tampa is out of it, does it make sense for the Hawks to counter with a trade for Cedric Paquette? Young, bottom 6 centerman with energy.

- 93Joe

Hanzal tipped one into his own net. LA up 4-3 in the 3rd.
