Totally agree.... For next year. We already know There willbe a big change coming this summer, everyone thinks its Crawford. I have my serious doubts. Don't think for 1 minute teams aren't calling Bowman about Darling to land him now and try to extend him in the summer....... In the mean time, I'm looking for. 4th parade in 7 years this June! That's where I am coming from .Duchene is a 100/1 longshot at this point. You can't go into the playoffs where the intensity is upped big time with Schmaultz as your 1st line LW and soft ass Dennis Rassmusson anywhere on your 4 lines. Info moves are made ,I bet TooToo and Desi rotate in and out on the bottom line. Everything now till wed. At 2is a huge game of 52 card pick up.

Wrong. Recent Blues and Wild games were pretty intense. Schmaltz was terrific. Get realistic. Toews recovery from his back problems and Schmaltz's emergence as a playmaker and scorer have made that line the most dangerous in the league for the past couple of weeks. As you acknowledge, Hawks aren't getting Duchene. Nor are they getting anyone else better than Schmaltz to play on that line. Jeez!

Wonder if Bowman is talking to Winnipeg. Would love to have Morrissey or Lowry.

I don't think I am far off from what you are saying and I mentioned the Hawks won in the past without ever being a great faceoff team. My point is a faceoff is not the same as other puck battles, it is in fact different in most respects...How much you or I measure the importance of a faceoff wasn't something I would put up a strong argument up on either way.

But a faceoff should not be considered as only another puck battle....Others who are very analytical have had made that point on my twitter time line in the past and I don't agree at all.

In my view the being a very good center may include being strong at the dot but there are also many other attributes which are as important or more so.

I don't disagree that faceoff aren't exactly like other puck battles (though their difference isn't huge), but I just didn't think saying it was hypothesis was correct either. That was my only real complaint with your comment.

Semantics maybe, and I was referring to arguments other have made to me whereby the foundation of their case was that all puck battles are the same. Usually wrong to generalize and lumping all those who strongly support analytics together probably wasn't the best choice.

No doctor either, but much like the flu that goes around every few years, illnesses can mutate and make previous vaccines pretty well useless. If this happens before a booster shot can be made to counteract the virus, the cycle goes on and on

Tampa just sold Bishop because they believe in vasilevsky, and more importantly don't need the huge cap hit of a goaltender to be FA bishop while they are trying to keep the offense intact. Seriously doubt they move for crawford IMO.

That said, I don't think the moves anything but a downgrade. Garrison is a mediocre bottom pair dman, budaj is meh and a UFA iirc, and but I would like flipper.

trim it down to kruger+pokka+? for flipper+? Leave flipper open for expansion, roll from there.

Vaccines don't last forever in many cases..and in some situations, depending on age, you may not have been vaccinated against certain things....Whooping cough is one where it disappeared for a long time and resurfaced. My oldest son had it as an infant and it took awhile for doctor to find the issue. Actually the only way he did was my son coughed in front of him after all the blood work came back negative.
