Burrows can be a whatever he wants on a different team. He's regressing. He's not good on any line (playing with Bo has got him some points, but I would get points playing with Bo). The guy is garbage. Let go of the old team, embrace the new direction.

I'm not suggesting we "hold onto the past" by resigning him, I honestly think as a 4th liner and a PKer he will work fine for next year when we are still not expected to be competitive, he teaches good work ethic, and if he's willing to be traded once he will be again next year if he has any value left.

That's fine. I'm suggesting we move on from old core. I'm also suggesting he already doesn't have much value if any, thinking he will have more next year seems kind of silly for that reason. I'd rather see a young guy making mistakes than an old one, Burrows has lost a few steps to say the least. "good work ethic" is very important, but so is showing your players that if they don't play enough, they're out the door.

I think Burrows would be an adequate 4th liner but we need to move on. The team needs a major culture change. Labatte was the most exciting player against SJ. That is pathetic.

Yes, that's all it takes. I enjoy physical, intense hockey. He is the only one that provides physicality outside of Gundbranson, Dorsett and Tryamkin.
