We'll see if the BJ's can push though the second round of the playoffs and more importantly will jarmo be able to keep them together once they start getting older. He's up against the cap right now even with several cheap young players playing better than expected.

I think TT could develop into the stud everyone thought he was going to

might as well take a swing at it

- sycsam

You can have him. Talent, but totally afraid of contact. Disappears in the rough going.

Hawks going for it again. bringing back oduya for mcneil and a 4th
- Jason Millen

Since Rocky Wirtz took over, the Hawks go for it every year. The Blues, having never won a Cup in 50 years, ought to do the same. If I was a Blues fan, I would be really upset that after their best and most exciting season in 15 years, the Blues didn't re-sign Backes and just tweak the team to try to make another run at the Cup. Instead, GM Armstrong immediately traded the goalie who was their best player in the Hawks series, let Backes walk, signed Yeo and thereby undermined Hitch's authority with his players, and implemented a change in the toughness and entire personality of the team. Armstrong's decisions to sign bad contracts with Steen, Lehtera, Berglund, Bouwmeester and Allen have doomed the Blues for the next 3 to 5 years.

How dare you! Don't you know Jarmo is all knowing? The alpha and omega? He makes the right choice 100% of the time all day every day, everything he touches turns into gold.

The older core helped but was too much, too long and they were duds until the younger core came about.

Elliott lol, it happens even the good back ups have a run. No big deal.

The Sharks recently did something similar and the following year they ended up in the finals.

Would suck for Chicago to again choke in the first round.

The man is inefficient. I read all of that and it could have been done simply with: We have a young, good team that is growing and because of the expansion draft if we can improve we will but it creates a variable and I do not want to over pay for a rental at this time. No stress really, it's my job and there is a dead line that is it.

Tom Stillman is a good guy, but until Doug Armstrong is gone, the Blues have no hope. Believe me, as a Hawks fan who suffered through years of Bob Pulford running the team, I recognize a clueless, incompetent front office when I see one, and that's what the Blues have. Not to mention his coaching choice, Mike Yeo, who did nothing in 4 years with basically the same Wild roster that is leading the West.

Really the same roster? You know when you add a player who is capable of being one of the best in the league and suddenly feels like proving it and he is a big center you really cannot same or equivalent.

Play a game with me and imagine this version of Staal on the Hawks or Blues this season.

Oh and tremendous goaltending is covering up a team whose underlying numbers are atrocious and bottom of the league. Seems I recall seeing the Avs do that and Calgary before.

But go on because you sir are removing all the proverbial doubt the more you write.

It's pointless talking to this guy. He seriously thinks he is correct about everything to do with the Blues.

This Guru guy is the same guy that still states on his profile that I "know nothing"...when i was clearly right about Jarmo as a GM and what he has done in just 4 seasons in Columbus. It's beyond comical.

Stillman is a great guy. Armstrong is better than Pleau ever was. But Armstrong is still incompetent like you stated.

You mean the David Backes the Bruins signed for five years and $30M and they already regret it?

No thanks. His productivity was already waning and he has a history of concussions and his body's taken too much punishment.

A contract like that for him would have been beyond stupid.

Blues were smart to Pujols the guy - got the best out of him and passed him along to an unsuspecting consumer at just the right time.

1 year removed from a 76 point season and you're 100% confident this year you're looking at the real Jackets.

They won't win the cup this year. But this nucleus is beyond good, very young and heading in the right direction.

You know nothing TIJ.

You are a band wagon. Look your Kings aren't doing great so flock to Columbus.

Nothing but a chair force loser. It makes me laugh because guys like you are all I was in the military and the implications in the inclusiveness of the phrasing is so that can try and equivocate to doing a real man's job like the kind I did. You are not even a Pogue, you are worst than that. You compare apples to oranges and sound shocked they taste different.

Quit stealing oxygen TIJ. Go away.

I know nothing? Haha.

I became a Blues fan because you hired Jarmo form ottawa in 2002.

I quit being a Blues fan in 2009 when you failed to promote a Jarmo from Ast GM like the Blues promised him when Pleau retired in 2010.

I told you the Kings would win a Cup before he Blues in 2010 due to their front office and head coach. And that makes me a band wagoner? For betting and predicting when a team would win a Cup, a team that never won a Cup in franchise history.

Yes, I jumped on Columbus because they hired....JARMO. Columbus was horrible and made the playoff just one time in franchise history before Jarmo took over. So that makes me a band wagoner because Columbus was so amazing 4 years ago when Jarmo took over, right? Give me a break. No one is buying what you are trying to sell. Instead of hating me, you should be crediting me for calling these 2 miserable franchises on here. But your biased and hatred for me can only come up with...."YOU KNOW NOTHING JARMO!" "And if I repeat that line over and over I can convince myself and maybe convince others of that."

Guru, you notice how know one else says, "i don't know anything" after this past season?? Just you.

I became a Blues fan because of Jarmo. And I became a Blue Jackets fan because of Jarmo. Yet your Blues biased can't see the difference.

By the way,I'm not off the Kings...they will win a couple more Stanley cups...including possibly with Jarmo's old Blues goalie, Ben Bishop.

Enjoy! And let your hatred for me continue. JARMO IS GOING TO WIN A STANLEY CUP SOMEDAY VERY SOON 😂😂😂

Don't forget the head coach I told your Blues on this site to hire from 2013-2016 when he was out of the NHL, Guy Boucher.

Now his team is one of the best teams in the East since he took over the Ottawa job last fall.

You follow a team, because of a front office employee.

It's weird. Your not a fan of teams. You are ready to trash them as soon as your crush moves on. And I'm sure Columbus will get the same treatment when Jarmo moves on from there.
