a BIT late?

He didn't even have possession of the puck. He literally bounced off his skate.

So you cant just write about the game and how well Murray and Guentzel player you just b!tch about all the stuff YOU(god) didn't like about the broadcast? There was almost 70 000 people in attendance who disagree with your assessment that the outdoor games are getting old as well. The outdoor games should be 2 hated rivals playing each other, it's just too bad the Flyers are such a mess as a team and their goaltending is so bad. They did kind of waste this particular matchup but the game itself was just fine.

Even Gryba thinks outdoor games are getting old.

Outdoors games are always a pain to watch: bad ice, bouncing pucks, long distance camera angle, constant zoom-in and out... add McGuire to the fix and I change the channel. McGuire is good for one thing: saying where each player played in junior.

Someone in production should have noticed the angle and glare make it impossible to see and follow the puck. Very amateurish. The announcers all lack imagination and any cohesive point.

Totally agree about the camera work. Virtually unwatchable.

I wouldn't be surprised if some people got nauseated or seas sick from watching that. It was terrible.

I don't mind the different perspective for replays at all. Seeing things from those varying vantage points is interesting to see, but during gametime, they need to keep the traditional view.

I had a group a relatives and friends head out to this and they all told me the same thing, the atmosphere was over rated and the view from the lower upper level section they were in was bad. Some watched the game on their phones.

I live in Vegas, so needless to say there are boat loads of people who know nothing about hockey. That being said, everyone is excited about the team coming here. I watched the game at a local bar here last night and I got talking to people sitting next to me.

They admittedly knew nothing about hockey, but were really curious and excited to watch the game, so I was doing my best to explain the game as it was going on. The biggest problem they kept saying was the frankin angles! They couldn't pay attention to what was going on.

It's hard enough for people who haven't watched hockey to train their eye to follow the puck on TV, so those angles don't do the game any justice when you're trying to attract new fans.

Only terrible camera they used was the one on the wire. Which apparently made a lot of people nauseous. It's his blog. He can share his opinion. I don't see how that's pretending to be a god...you can disagree without crying

IMO, that camera would be awesome for replays or really short spurts but they tried way too hard to impress with it. Backfired big time

Ryan

I couldn't agree with you more. I was at the point where I was going to turn the tv off and just listen to it. I wish all the NHL and NBC big wigs would be forced to sit and watch the camera on a cable.

BEYOND BRUTAL. I was cursing the whole game. Out with NBC and their 94 year old Doc, Eddie O, Pierre and Milbury. What a bunch of guys who are past their date of expiry.!!

I'm actually a fan of Doc; he calls a really good game. The other three? I could do without them, but Milbury's bias can be entertaining.

What caused the Angel of Death to hover over the Consol Energy Center?

Pierce McGuire had an interview for the Penguins' GM position after the Pens fired Shero.

It was a moment filled with terror and hoplessness.

This is the best commentary on Pierre McGuire I have ever read. Why that guy still has a job defies logic. I'm just glad he's not exclusive to Canada anymore. it would have been fitting if a huge gust of wind came up and blew his scrawny ass away

Just be glad the game didn't come down to a field goal. That wind would have made things interesting
