And a solid chunk of that came when he got pp time with eichel out. He generates next to nothing at 5 mil. That's the definition of dead weight.

5 points in his first 8 games (October/Jacks Injury) 4 goals
18 in his last 54. 8 goals

He was ELITE status earlier this year, but it's looking like he wont even hit the 50 goal mark let alone 60

Went to bed last night 15 mins left in the third up 2-0 wake up its 3-2 yotes .

I think this teams problems are in three major areas; Players coaching and the GM (obliviously).

Players: TOO MANY PASSENGERS, I don't know if guys like ROR and Okposo have some sort of nagging injury but the only player name I hear on a constant basis is Jack Eichel, we absolutely need better production out of those two on a consistent basis. The d are incapable of making a decent breakout pass, so our forwards either spend their shift in the dzone or spend it chasing the puck around the neutral zone trying to get possession. This team needs depth in the worst way.

Coach: Plays a system that he does not have the players for, I think Kaiser mentioned yesterday that dan's system is based on long outlet passes from the dmen. Has he seen Bogo pass? He doesn't have the horses to play the style he wants, yet keeps trying like its miraculously going to change. Not all on disco, but the resistance to change is killing him, just like the Pens fans said when he was hired.

GM: Biggest knock against TM is trying to speed up the rebuild on a gambles like Kane and bogo. I like that he had the balls to make the deals but they have not come to fruition and now he holds very little currency (murrency?) to acquire better players. Cant speak to the draft but his first second round with the karabeck (SP) pick was brutal, but seems to have found some nice pieces in Asplud and Pu.

My take: stay the course this year, team isn't going to the playoffs, that's clear from our last two games, I'd sell everyone that you can, try and move one of bogo ennis and moulson. try and poach a good young dman during expansion. I think this team needs a 3/4 and a 4/5 dman and at least two forwards that can consistently produce offence, doesn't have to be a 40 goal guy but a player that knows how to score even if they play limited minutes.
Oh and a new coach.

I assume you're going to get the full Vegas experience. but if you're not, let me know. when i go, im usually just passing through and try to hang in local spots rather than do the strip. but they would require a car or cab. but if you're interested, let me know...

Well, that sucked...

Anyway, on a completely unrelated note, I'm booking a trip to Vegas and was wondering if anyone has any hotel suggestions. Currently, I'm leaning toward The Venetian, but any other recommendations would be appreciated.

I stayed at the Aria for business, it was very nice. Not sure about the price tag though...I don't remember exactly, but do remember thinking it was higher end than I would pick for myself personally.

I would recommend somewhere in the middle of the strip

Venetian
Mirage
Paris

those are mid upscale

Harrahs
Ballys
Flamingo
Imperial Palace
if you want value

nice thing about the mirage
right across the street is mcdonalds for cheap breakfast, and a subway inside my favorite hole in the wall to gamble, casino royale
