I'm not saying he's any kind of a prize, but DiDomenico did play for Canada at the 2009 WJC (that Ottawa hosted), and put up 7pts in 6GP - which was more points than Jamie Benn had. He's also played for Canada at the Spengler Cup for the past 3 years and recently wore an 'A' for that team. That may have as much to do with this signing as anything else, given that Boucher was the Spengler Cup head coach for the first 2 of those years.
It's pretty clear that there are players in the Swiss League that Boucher developed a strong respect for, and who he's willing to give NHL chances to now that he's back coaching in the NHL. Dorion seems to be willing to play along, so long as they can get Pyatt-like ROI on the deals.
