I think you're right on.

Me too. Agree with all of what Mr R had to say. I was at the game last night too (sat 4 rows behind #88's parents) and thought the poster on the previous page who was there too had it right also. The lack of structure to their game - especially in P2 when STL woke up a bit - was pretty glaring. But putting 2 and 7 back together and. 57 back on the 3rd pairing seemed to help exponentially (man was he brutal up there with 2). LOVE #8 - my sister was floored by that whole line in person and kept asking how she missed Schmaltz earlier in the year. Don't know if it came across on tv, but a LOT of blues fans at the UC last night. Glad they got real quiet toward the end of the night.

So many positives to take out of this game.

The hot start, outshooting the blues 20-11 in the first. Toews continuing his hot streak and the talent that is a more comfortable/experienced Nick Schmaltz. Hell that whole line is going strong, even Panik looks more comfortable lately.

Darling just straight up battles, and he seems to get post to post more quickly than Crawford which could have been the difference in us winning or losing that game. He made some ridiculous saves in that game.

Jurco. Didn't look bad at all. At times you could see the rust, other times he looked like he had developed some instant chemistry with Hoss. What I didn't like was him trying to skate right into the blues D and looking confused whether to stickhandle or pass. He lost the puck a few times, that has to change going forward. Other than that I thought he showed some decent hands and potential. Give him some time to get comfortable and keep playing him with Hoss, if those two develop some more chemistry and Jurco gets comfortable and starts buying into the system we could have a serviceable bottom 6 player there. I liked his speed.

Hartman's shot block late and Kero finishing off the ENG and Darling coming out to hug Hartman. Love it. These young guys have fully bought in and it's paying dividends and Q is rewarding them with his trust in a pressure situation late in an important game.

Not many negatives from that game besides letting our foot off the gas in the second and the absolutely horrific performance of TVR in that game. Hjalmarsson get well soon.
