I really don't see how Lazar is an upgrade over anyone in CHIs F group.
- Feds91Stammer

You know what, I misspoke, right now, today, no. I was thinking because he's a center. But you're right, he's really a future at this point.

So let me get this straight...

Doan is upset about trading Hanzel for the "future".
Doan is about 40 and no longer an impact player, and near the end.
Doan plays for a team near the bottom of the league...no playoffs.
Hanzel is an UFA this June...so,

Hanzel can sign with any club, even the Coyotes if he chooses.

So why exactly is Doan upset?

The only thing I can think of Rob is that instead of getting some of the better Minny prospects, all you get is draft choices. The future goes from 2-3 years out (??) to 5-7 yrs.......only thing I can think of.

For anyone that is interested

Jurco finished with these 5v5 SZV adjusted numbers in just under 12 mins

CF%: 57.65
FF%: 61.83
xGF%: 66.05

data via corsica

- Feds91Stammer

From what I saw Jurco looked fine...had a chance or 2...did fine in his own end.

At the very most I see him as a bottom 6 project. At least Jurco had solid underlying numbers. For a good laugh look at Lazar's HERO chart.

Looked a little confused at times positionally, actually, that's system adjustment.

Preds are looking strong lately. Stronger than this Blues team.

Perhaps Doan should retire and collude with the owner to force Chayka out...

...the Doan could take over as GM and finish the simple task of putting a winner on the ice in the valley.

If that was all you saw...that's understandable, since he's been a Hawk for all of 2 days.

He'd also only seen about 45 mins of ice time since Jan. 4th. Gotta be a little rusty.

Jurco came in to break up a few plays that could have been dangerous, smart dump ins, waiting out opponents. I like that he plays some defense.

Forsberg was one of the unluckiest players in the league the first half of the season. He is on fire now.

Signing off for the night. Will check the messages in the AM and see what's up.

i don't think the Hawks are done and I think they really need to add a center. You can't just throw Kero and an injured Kruger out there against a Minnesota or an LA or Washington. They'll get eaten alive in the dot at least.

...and Doan has had countless opportunities to approve trades to contenders. Every time he nixes them to stay with the middling Coyotes.

Loyalty is fine, but to complain at this point of his tenure with that club is just ridiculous.

I still wonder how insane WSH would be if they had Forsberg.

Something tells me that prioritizing playing smart defensively was what he was told by the coaching staff.
