OK...not to picky with a 2-0 lead...

...but the Hawks look like crap in their own end again. Reminds me of the AZ game.

St Louis looks like they're skating in concrete.

Not only that I just don't like their forward depth as much as years past. Losing Backes, Brouwer, and Fabbri(injury) has taken its toll.

To me 225 plus
- BetweenTheDots

I'm confused then because only about half the teams in the league have a single 225+ forward on it, much less two like the Wild did. How many team have two or more? The Wild obvs, but the Jets (Wheeler, Thorburn, Matthias) and Oilers (Lucic, Maroon) are the only two I can think of off-hand.

If you adjust your definition down to 220, then there's more, but I would think any forward over 215 is pretty big. I mean, the average size for forwards in the NHL has been between 198-200 the last three seasons.

The Wild are in it now. Big money on the poker table with the Hanzal trade. Sharp and Oduya to Chitown???? Heck why not....

True, but other than their first game back from break the month of February this team has played really well, at times dominating opponents, which I really haven't seen all season

One last word on LeBrun and gotcha time, because I DO get real tired of this crap:

Here's my last post on Hanzal two days ago:

"Off the ice, I heard this morning, while Arizona executives were in town, the Hawks made some progress in trade talks surrounding Arizona center Martin Hanzal.

As I was told yesterday, Hanzal is not the only viable trade target for Chicago at this point, but as he checks a loot of boxes for the team, size/skill/style of play/good faceoff ability, he is high on the Hawks' list."

It says the Hawks were interested and hoping the price would come down. Nowhere does it say the Hawks were a "serious Player" as far as a bidding war, which many of my comments have made clear, the Hawks won't do.

As for Lebrun, he's the guy who said the Hawks were after Jurco for six weeks. Also categorically false. You don't pursue a guy who is a health scratch night after night for six weeks.

But I guess whenever the statement fits your desired narrative.

Younger player with term left.
- tyweb69

Who? Duchene? My info. was his having some term left appealed to the Hawks who were looking (at first anyway) to avoid a rental.

I would be happy with Johnny O and a low-line solid FO% center. John Mitchell or someone like him

McClement, Dan Winnik, someone like that with some tread left on the tire and won't kill you skating a regular shift. A defense add. Meh, ok.
