You tell me.
Did Paul Statsny just wake up 10 games ago and remember how to play?

it's an example, thats all.

- puckhead17

I asked you a simple question. Don't bother answering because I know that you don't know. I don't either.

Here is another question to consider. Are there any Blues players whose level of scoring has decreased since Yeo took over?

I know that you're frustrated, and so am I. Systems are not the reason for Giroux's poor season.

I have to admit, every argument we do agree on this, and you do point that out.
I appreciate it

all the poop.
I drank you serum, your right, he sucks!!
He's garbage, I agreed with you, ((frank) if you don't just agree on these boards with everyone).
sorry, didn't mean that, your right, he just sucks!!

- puckhead17

I never said he sucks....I said he is not playing very good, or atleast that's how I meant to convey my opinion. I just don't think the system can be to blame after a year and a half....that's the only difference, and honestly if that's your opinion your entitled to it....that's what a discussion board is.

Giroux looks to be morphing into a special teams player only, his continued decline in foot speed is very apparent, to me anyways. The team needs to be stripped down slightly again. You've gotta be faster in today's game.

Keep trying to get those winzzz, drafting 12th year after year is the way to the promise land.

If you are going to rebuild, (frank)ing do it right.

It's a conspiracy...A Flyer throws a hit this season, granted it was a textbook interference that should have been a penalty, and the league wants to punish him.
- opeth_pa

Yet Malkin gets away with his hit where he clearly leaves his feet and hits the head.. but nope cant have him miss the stadium series game that would make them lose money.

Do you honestly believe that a coach can change a player from a top player in the league, into a player who is currently tied for 305th in the NHL in 5 on 5 points? Andrew MacDonald has the same amount of points in 5 on 5 play as Claude Giroux has.

i just dont feel its a coincidence, not saying he is the same player, (not at all). But I dont feel this coach has done any justice to the teams lack of production.
Including Giroux. Not saying its ALL the coach, but again he has struggled badly once this guy arrived after impressing the GM on his sons college team.

Well they're continuing to feed Giroux heavy minutes and they keep throwing neuvirth out there. I think the tank is chugging along swimmingly

Hakstol makes questionable decisions, and I'll be the first to admit that.

However - Babcock isn't coming into this group and making them all stars.

For (frank)s sake please just cut the damn head off, take ol' Yeller out back and rebuild completely for one god damn time.

It's not.

They won't pick top 3.

They refuse to trade some of that forward core because they will suck even more without them.

It's maddening and I cannot agree with that reasoning. They are trying to stay competitive while rebuilding. It's what will (frank) them into the ground. Blow it the (frank) up and put everything into the future. For once do it right. Not this 're tool' bullpoop.

your comparing Giroux's production with AMac?
huh? seriously? and you balked at my Paul Statsny example which is pretty valid
i was trying to make up with u a few boards back, man o man.
The entire NHL, including every poster in these boards hate A Mac, but the coach thinks he's fantastic.

you really like him, you, nevermind
you just want to argue, and call everyone wrong.

Most of the questionable decisions blamed on Hakstol are nonsense. That's not to say that there have not been some.

It takes two to tango to rebuild. In order to move players to rebuild you have to have the right trade partner.

Let's just simply review the possibilities of a Giroux trade. What team would be interested in him, and what would the Flyers need in return to make it a good deal?

Real easy to just repeatedly post rebuild and trade so and so on a message board.

Ironically.

Hak may be the best thing for this club.

The last thing I want is some miracle run at the playoffs to fool the organization into thinking they are closer than they are.

Only a small handful of guys are relevant to the future success of this club, and you are not finding the stars of the future to lead this team drafting 10th year after year.

It's (frank)ing leafs 2.0.

What are you talking about? Seriously? That point was offered simply to illustrate how poor Giroux has played, and how bad his production is at 5 on 5. It wasn't that hard to realize that. Your post above is ridiculous.

I was at my daughter's dance recital last night and not once did I wish or think about watching this game. That's all that needs to be said, see this team next season when they hopefully look completely different and can score goals.

I want them to fully commit to the future. Tank this poop for a few years instead of doing it half ass. They are tanking already just won't admit it!

You aren't drafting top 3 if you keep this forward core. They suck but are good enough to just keep your head above water.

I don't care what they get back frankly. Today's Flyers, most of them anyway are irrelevant long term.

Regardless if it is the coaching or not....if they continue to not grow, espeacially the young guys, then the coach won't last.

Giroux is faltering.

Nostalgia is keeping some foolish hopes alive of a return to form.

Nothing personal, just my thoughts.

I'll explain it to you. The Flyers franchise center with a 8.5M cap hit ranks 305th in the league in 5 on 5 points, and is tied in 5 on 5 points with a defensive defenseman on the team. Does that not illustrate how poorly Giroux has played at 5 on 5? Not a difficult concept to get. Be done all you want.

It doesn't matter whether we care what they get back. Look into the situation and understand how difficult it would be to trade Giroux now.
