Stats are for losers. The only stat that matters is goals...and the Flyers lost again.

It's a good thing points don't matter or the Flyers would be in real trouble

Maybe Dalpe was already in the minors or was with in the 30 day waiver exempt period?
- Baxter27

I didn't realize he had already been waived...I only noticed something was odd when CBJ claimed him and said they were assigning him to Lake Erie. Still have some questions though so will see how it plays out. I think it does have something to do with Minnesota allowing it to happen

He's already their 3rd string goaltender so shouldn't have much of an impact.

I do think Hexy needs to move 1 goaltender regardless of the return for the sole purpose of getting a better look at Stolarz.

- Baxter27

Oh wow, I assumed he was the back up or 1b with Anderson's leave for wife. But he has only played 6 times this year. Never mind lol

The Flyers have a lot of goals, they just don't achieve many of them.

Who/what do we want to see realistically coming back from LA or Edmonton for Streit?

2nd and a conditional pick (4th round unless they get the finals then a 2nd)

I'd actually take the same for MDZ

For Schultz I'd go for a 5th Round

I think MDZ gets you a 4th/conditional 3rd.

If Schultz gets you a conditional 7th, take it.

It always seems D prices get inflated so I went a little higher.

Plus MDZ should at least get you what Streit does. Streit is almost retired and MDZ can be resigned cheaply by the acquiring team I'd bet now.

My underlying concern is that Ron did nothing last year at the deadline. And while I understand many conditions were different then, I still worry he's going to be too passive, or conservative this time too.

As it stands now, IMO, with 7 UFA's and an expansion draft looming, this team will look so different next year anyway. If nothing else, clear cap space so you have the flexibility to make whatever changes, large or small, (probably large) in the off-season.

If he does nothing again, it's gonna be bad. Real bad.

I'd take anything of value for Schultz, Streit, MDZ. They shouldn't be here next year anyways. I'd just take the best offer for each come deadline time.

I'd hope to get a 2nd/conditional 1st for Streit, 4th/conditional 3rd for MDZ, and anything for Schultz.

Considering what Hanzal just got, I'd be listening to offers on Schenn too. As some have suggested on here, if its Barzal or Meier or similar prospect + 1st, I'd pull the trigger now.

I wonder what the PP point totals are for the 2nd unit in those years mentioned. Feel like our 2nd pp unit has been terrible for a while.
- arichardson22

You can see them here.

http://www.nhl.com/stats/...pPoints,ppGoals,ppAssists

In 15-16 when Ghost took the dman role on PP1, Streit had 8 PPP in 192 minutes. In 14-15 he had 30 PPP in 290 minutes.

In 13-14 when Hartnell was still here, Schenn was on PP2 and he had 9 PPP in 179 minutes. The next year that jumped to 19 PPP in 244 minutes.

Well no matter what, they won't be players in the UFA market this offseason. There are no reasons to as there aren't many guys who make sense for the flyers.

The only splash move will be something that makes sense for the now and future.

I think they will be, but they will only be signing short term deals. They will need a goalie and a top 6 forward, and they will have about $10m in space.

He's already stated they won't be buyers at the deadline. So they may try to unload some contracts and see what they can do after the expansion draft.

Streit, MDZ, Schultz, one goalie (if not both) will all be gone after this year. That's probably around 14 Mill in cap space replaced with less than 3 million in salaries of 2 kid Dmen and Stolie so we gain 10 without even doing any deal. If both goalies go you can inflate the first number to almost 20 million and after filling in the 2 goalies and 2 d spots you'd probably still be at 10 million saved.

Streit (50% retained), Neuvirth and a 2017 3rd for Edmonton's 2017 1st and Gustavsson.

But think about it. IF the Flyers keep 1 goaltender, let the other 6 UFA's walk, or get whatever picks they can now, and lose another player in the Ex Draft, they'll need 6-7 warm bodies to play here next year.

How many can the current farm system support? 2, 3 at most? So if they don't trade any players away in the off-season, they'll still need 3 to 4 new faces.

They better be "players" in the UFA market, or one of us might be lacing them up.
