Doan on the Hanzal deal...
“It’s really hard. Obviously he’s a huge part of our team and someone that you get to play with for 10 years, you appreciate and understand how valuable and how you can’t really replace him,” said Doan, before the frustration really began to appear.
“The fact we just continue to seem to go — I don’t know, it’s hard to understand exactly. I mean, you understand people’s hands are tied and you just don’t get it.”
WTF is wrong with this guy? Does he live in freaking lala land or something. You're 40 years old and you still don't understand how your team of 20 years has to operate? Go to a (frank)ing playoff team already jfc it doesn't revolve around you - Just5
He's also had chances to move on if he wanted to.

I guess you missed Weise going to the top team in the West last season. It's called being a cheap, UFA forward who provides depth. - Feanor
Guess Hextall missed it too, Wiese was awful with the Blackhawks. |

I couldn't imagine it. It'd be like if Ek came out and said MDZ was traded for a conditional 2nd and then changing it to Streit being moved |

Teams in the Stanley Cup finals rankings in GAA during regular season:
-Last year - Pens (6th) - Sharks (10th)
-'15 -Hawks (2nd) - Bolts (12th)
-'14 - Kings (1st) - Rangers (4th)
-'13 -Hawks (1st) - Bruins (3rd)
-'12- Kings (2nd) - Devils (10th)
-'11 - Bruins (2nd) - Canucks (1st)
Is there a trend here? For the love of God Hexy and Hakstol fix the team defense first. - ravishingone
I think that is exactly what he has been doing with drafting heavy on defense and goaltenders |

He acted like the team was on the cusp of playoff spot instead of the bottom of the league. And if I recall correctly, hasn't it been reported most of the year how clear communication has been between Doan and Chayka? I mean if you're talking to your GM about yourself being moved to a contender, wouldn't this trade make sense?

So if he's not traded by tomorrow, do you hold Streit out of action tomorrow night to avoid any injury? Put Schultz and MDZ in to hopefully attract any suitors who may be uncertain about them. |

According to Bill, he doesn't think Sandstrom comes over until 18-19. You have to figure he'll need at least one AHL season, if not 2, before he is ready. - BiggE
I wish he would come over next year to start getting acclimated to the smaller rink |

He had one assist in 15 games, doesn't tell the entire story, but it suggests he didn't play great. And the zero production has carried right over to this season.
He will magically be better next year! |

He had an OT winner in the playoffs. He was being used as a 4th liner with a top heavy Blackhawks team. It isn't all about production with a player like Weise. He needs to produce more but he's been playing well for a while now. |

agreed. So Arizona should hold onto the guy when they are clearly not a playoff team? that's stupid. I mean, if Hanzal loves Arizona like Doan does he can come back as a free agent. |

Two, and they were totally warranted, should have been more. Leaving your feet to throw a a huge hit to the head of a guy that never had possession of the puck usually isn't viewed nicely by the DOPS. |
