Apples and Oranges.
I suggest you re-read the article you are using to base your argument on.

Wow you have more faith in JB than most here.
- thundachunk

No faith. Heard his interviews. Observed their agenda. He's not in desperate sell mode. If he gets an offer of value he'll do it. Otherwise standing pat means contingencies are in place. They could keep all the players and it doesn't mean any setbacks. The rebuild is really centered on Sedins moving out and new young and drafted players taking over. Everything else are side moves that can be done now or later.

If we did draft Nico then we could but the twins a food truck and park it on Burrard and they can retire early COME TASTE MY SWEDISH MEATBALLS

Is that BS? Are you that high on this kid? That's exciting if true. People were saying there are no sure fire stars in this draft.

I would be a little concerned about drafting a player who has had 1 impressive season & had a whopping 3 points in 22 combined games in 2 different leagues last season.

I have heard that as well but from what I have seen many in the top 30 will be sure fire NHlers.

I probably should have said most exciting....kid is very fast and dynamic. I'm by no means a prospect expert but I don't understand when experts say there are no stars in his draft. Nico appears to be a legit high end first liner from what I've seen

What is his TOI in the Swiss mens league? Probably minimal. He is playing in a league with others his age and being successful. #development.

Hey, at this point I'll take exciting! Wins don't mean poop to me right now.

I watched 3 of his games at WJC & no doubt he was impressive in those games. I get concerned when someone seems to blossom in 1 season.
I have followed prospects for years and the 1st time I heard of him was last season when I was reading up on Matthews in the Swiss league.

He was also the top player at the Top prospects game. He shines against the best of his peer group. I wouldn't worry about his stats playing against men when he was a child

I have never been a tanker but the wins right now aren't meaning to much to me either. I like seeing them play hard every game though.

The Top Prospects game had Pierre-Luc Dubois and Patrice Laberge as the best players in the game the season before.
I will be pretty happy with any of Patrick, Hischier, Vilardi or Middlestadt,

I agree. A team doesn't need to win to be exciting. For the paying fan a win validates cost but for most a well played, exciting game should be satisfying enough through this rebuild/transition.
