havent been a miller fan at all. He had a run of 10--15 games he played decent in now hes back to usual form again
- SMBDragon

I didn't really like the signing either but I understand why they did it. Miller is no different than the goalies from his era now like Lou or Lundqvist…they have flashes of greatness but the reality is now they are just way past their prime. Good for on average 3-4 goals per game.

Honestly if we are going to live with 3-4 goals per game just give the reigns to Markstrom or trade Miller and sign a capable guy at half the price. I get the fact that they may want to keep him here to mentor Demko but honestly it makes no difference stats wise whether he is here or not.

Time to move on.

Another game the canucks deserved a better fate, they score on every decent chance and we cant catch a bounce around the net, sums up the year.
- Bettmanhatesus

Ya I liked their play tonight...passing was actually better and not the stale kind. Generated more shots then usual it seemed

Love the fact that some of you pin this on Miller...muffins??? Bar down on both goals in the 3rd period most NHL goalies aren't stopping either one. Not to mention the crap sandwich he's has playing in front of him.
- claygolf83

2/4 of those goals were muffins. Sure it's a half -AHL line up but see it for what it is. Even with a crappy team you need goalies to make proper saves.

Hutton looked pretty good until the big pizza on the 3-1 goal. Liked Lebate and even Grenier showed flashes. Mceheny looked ok for the TOI he got and Magma looked quick. Burrows looked livelier with Sedins…some positives for sure. And the PP looked solid.

they were fresh , the schedule maker put the screws to them again, theres no reason for back to backs and 6 to 7 game trips, 7 games in 11 days its franking stupid. The hockey is way better when theres a day or 2 between games, when there on a stupid schedule you get dump it in dump it out hockey play the neutral zone because there tired.

Just saw the highlights, some sloppy play in front of Miller from what I saw on all the goals against the Canucks. The Boedker goal was a good shot, Millers been saving those lately.

Good effort. Thought the Utica boys played well. I can handle.us losing g for the next 101 games if the team puts in solid effort and hits like they did in this game.
Hope to see more of the Utica boys.

Like your countdown lol.

So it wasn't like 7-0 which was what happened to playoff bubble WC Isles today.

They will be buying vets big time now to appease JT.

Wonder if Tanev or Hansen will do? Not sure if Hansen included them though.

I thought the Canucks played great tonight, especially the Sedins! Unfortunately or not, we didn't win on the score board but I thought the team demonstrated excellent work ethic and overall, competed hard.

I particularly like Labate's game!!! Also, Burrows admitted that his wife is very supportive and wants whats best for Burr and his career. It would be clever for him to go to a cup contender to earn another year or two contract. I wish him all the best and I would not be disappointed to see him wearing blue next year.

JB was on tsn and saying that there was no plans for trading burrows currently. He also said they've been talking about a contract deal that is suitable to both sides. SO expect him back next season

28th in the league tonight. I don't think that they are the 3rd worst team in the league but i'm fine being there.

Was hanging out with a friend tonight who watches every single Wheat king game and he says that the Wheat kings are pretty sure Patrick isn't NHL ready and will be back next year.

Good place to start. Maybe become Head Coach of ECHL team eventually
He would be a good example for any player that thinks career is over because they are playing in that league.

Wouldnt it be something if he gets groomed and catches on to coaching. Then rises up to become the Playoff coach the Nucks need to win the Cup one day?!?

It didnt work with Steamer. But Burr seems like he might have the right stuff. He's tenacious and intelligent enough to figure it out. He's good with connecting with players so that's a start.
