Would be pretty bad if we get nothing. Garth doing nothing or very little at the deadline has not exactly worked very well.
- ses111

That has never stopped him from doing something again, again, and again. It's actually his MO.

No I didn't but I just saw this;
"The Islanders would prefer to find players whom they can keep beyond this season, such as Avalanche center Matt Duchene or Oilers wing Jordan Eberle. But those deals would require Snow to hand over prospects and a player or two off the roster, and Weight believes the pending return of his three injured players — as well as Casey Cizikas, who might be able to return earlier than the three weeks remaining on his month prognosis for a suspected broken hand — could add just as much as a player brought in via trade."
From Staple

Get ready for a whole lot of nothing. Prince, clutterbuck, and cizikas will push us over the hump.

Yep not sure how to feel, on one hand doing nothing leaves us all our prospects, on the other sucks if duchene goes somewhere else

He's done a whole lot of nothing since leddy and Boychuk. Time for him to get off his ass and bring in a higher talent than Shane prince.

I think this year is different. Can't do anything crazy at the deadline for the playoff push, which imo is just a battle for the spot to get destroyed by the Caps.

These Duchene type trades seem to happen more in the offseason.

If he goes somewhere for a somewhat reasonable price is when it'll be a problem for me. That's what we've seen in the past. If that happens I'll be looking forward to Staples damage control tweets, "There would have been a mutiny!".

I do not like the Isles chances for going on a long run, but we did get an idea what Greiss could do in the playoffs last year. You add another big piece and you never know what could happen.

Yeah only in the playoffs when he excells

Do not listen to Cpt Stevie Y. It's safe to trade Tyler Johnson to us.

My point is Snow has pretty much always done nothing so I'm expecting more of the same

I agree it's still a longshot to beat the Caps, but upsets have happened. Isles do have to look longer term with these trades.

Sorokin sounds like a great prospect, but how much is he really being tested playing in that league?

Interested to see if Garth Snow goes big game hunting. Oilers say Eberle isn't moving. Duchene is a good fit for Isles...1/2

Colorado needs a young D as part of return. Hamonic might not be right fit. Duchene is eager to move. Still tough to make work now. 3 way?

The only really interesting thing here is Dreger saying that Duchene is "eager to move".

well heres the thing, the khl is the best league outside of the nhl so thats a good sign. however its not the nhl and the 4 time mvp is radulov whos an above average nhl player. so while its not the nhl, it is the best league to get an idea how he will look. Also his numbers are better or comperable to halak whose in the ahl and is playing weaker competition

It would be great for the Isles to finally hit on a young goalie. I still want Dunham out of here this summer. It will take a new GM for that though.

He really seems to want to move the way he has been playing. I'm not sure his name was mentioned once during the Isles game?

just trade this guy for him,

Brazal is now tied for first in scoring on the Thunderbirds with 71 points (9G, 62A) in 37 games - nearly a two points-per-game pace. Brazal's eight-point weekend continues his ridiculous run of 33 points (2G, 31A) in his last 13 games.
