Give a lot for a 2nd round exit

It is not a great draft but to give up a first rd for a guy, Shattenkirk, who wants to play with NYR, well here we go again. Isles have been playing well but they may not have more left than most of the competition for a stretch run. To break up BST which is headed for an AHL stretch run which can bring something to this org may not be a positive. Can't change the fact that big club is starting to hurt on the hlower lines and when Leddy goes back to early season form plus Boychuk looks like a second pair d, well a lot to consider. Still need to know if Weight's coaching is for real or this was just a honeymoon.

For the record, the best team in the NHL now has 4 x #1 Defenseman.

But those deals would require Snow to hand over prospects and a player or two off the roster, and Weight believes the pending return of his three injured players — as well as Casey Cizikas, who might be able to return earlier than the three weeks remaining on his month prognosis for a suspected broken hand — could add just as much as a player brought in via trade."

I would think Tampa would probably rather trade him out West, but it would not shock me if he traded Johnson within the conference if he likes the deal. Johnson is a very nice player, but not that star player you worry about really hurting you within the conference.

Would be pretty bad if we get nothing. Garth doing nothing or very little at the deadline has not exactly worked very well.
