Not this again...
What the (frank) is wrong with the coaching?!! - Flamin_Irishmin
Duh! You were one that said coaching wasn't vary good in the beginning. I am a fan of gg and he is getting better but he ha s made some bad moves throughout the year it's taken him this long to take wideman out. It's taken him this long to move chasson down in the lineup. He finally showed some emotion after I think after the Montreal game. And the team responded. He is learning as is the team. And I think he is going to be a vary good coach. The only reason I said weakness is when we get into the playoffs where he has I think no experience to my knowledge, and he comes up against a guy like quenneville, Boudreau ,mcLellan. Those guys are great motivators. Maybe gg is behind closed doors we don't know that.on playoff experience he doesn't have a lot so ,yeah that will be a slight disadvantage. |

Naw, wasn't me that said anything bad about the coaching. You must have me confused with another poster.
Quite the opposite actually. I told people to calm the (frank) down and let the coaching staff build some chemistry, on so many occasions it's not even funny! Many many many times...
Is there another Irishman in town?! |

It's not really an apples to apples comparison. It's pretty clear Bishop is a rental, and the Penguins actually think they'll win a Cup this year. |

I really hope that if BT makes a move its to make the club better for the future, not just for this year. Not yet in the upper echelon of teams like Chicago that can afford to be tossing away first and 2nds for rentals. |

Any suggestions?
Landeskog?
Between him tkatchuck and Bennett could make for a very interesting dynamic to this team. |

Hey man!
I think we are going to go into playoffs with the 2 tenders we already have. Probably all in on Bishop in the offseason. - DuranDuran
why would you say we'd be all in on Bishop?
UFA's are gonna be overpaid...Bishop is old and injury prone...sorry not that he's old, but we've got some promising young golaies comingup and Bhisop will want TERM...like 6-7 years!
That's the only reason MAF makes sense (2 years left gives us time to evaluate our own talent) or finding another place holder....even Elliot will be more likely to sign for a shorter term contract...3-4?
I'd stay away from Bishop at all costs!!!

Cost will be too much. Look at what Hanzal fetched. Our lines have been playing some good hockey, maybe we shouldn't fack with it. Now that we have Ferly with Monny and johnny and our 3M line is absolute money things seem balanced. Bennett has been playing very well too! |

Lande would be great. I think his game would fit in well wit Bennett.
What about Rantanen? Not sure if Colorado would part with him but if they don't end up trading one of Lande or Dutch that might be possible.
Brayden Schenn? Shoots left but is comfortable on the RW. Not sure if his salary at 5.1 could fit in the future. Could be a great fit for the first line or to play with Bennett. Philly should be selling.

Yup
Although dirt cheap might end up being a 2nd round pick defenseman of ours. |

Have had scouts at our last 10 home games. Gotta be some interest in our team. Something going on. |

Friedman putting forward that we're looking for a winger with some edge is interesting.
While I hate the idea of giving anything for Burrows, he's a washed out player, and I hate everything about him..
I wouldn't want that trade to happen.. but he could teach Tkachuk some filthy tricks.. That would be the only positive..

Ferland doing what he's been doing lately really mucks up the trade deadline. If what he's been doing is real, I think they should probably just stick with what they have unless they can actually get Duchene for a reasonable price.
If they can slide Duchene onto a line with Bennett without giving up a roster player, they really could win the West. |

I have to agree the Ferland factor makes things interesting ...I did not see this working out as well ...on the road to boot ....duchene is a pipe dream ...and to be honest if he isn't playing in your top 6 then the price to get him is definitely not worth it |

It would be a lot easier to offer Dubois, Joulevi, or Puljujarvi for Duchene right now compared to offering Tkachuk.
Hard to imagine a fair offer without a roster player.. If Hanzal gets all that poop then the price will be unreasonable for Duchene probably. |

If youre not willing to give up a roster player, what makes you think the Flames can even make an offer the Avs would like? |

Ferland has been everything we were looking for to skate on that top line. I think you ride it put and see where it goes.
Don't mess with the 3M line.
That leaves Versteeg-Bennett-Brouwer, which is a damn good 3rd line.
I hate to say it but Burrows for cheap is kinda tempting. However that is Bouma's position, does Burrows bring much more tan Bouma at this point?. A line with Burrows and Hathaway on it could cause nightmares but I think they stay put. |
