Here is the plan. We want that pair of Streit and Ghost out there as much as possible. We want Bellemare to shutdown that Crosby line. With Vandevelde out there with Bellemare, we have nothing to worry about. Now that Weal is back and destiny is calling that he play on the top line, I expect him to finally be what we've all been waiting for him to become. Giroux's finisher.

I don't give a poop about this outdoor game. I'm not one iota more excited for the non-excitement I watch every other Flyers game. And these Frankenstein lines are icing on the cake. I actively hope the key guys play well every night....while also losing every night. I'm completely OK with losing and getting better picks, and actively want it, but holy (frank), this team is awful to watch for umpteen other reasons, and a few that concern me going forward. My excitement to watch Flyers games basically comes down to hoping JWeal gets his first point.

Well, I still am not sure the Flyers pick 7th. Probably closer to 10. Elias Pettersson and Martin Necas (you didn't mention those two, and I think they are right up there), Gabriel Vilardi, and Casey Mittelstadt seem to me the top of the class after the obvious two. I might prefer them in that order, but it's a bit flip a coin. Pettersson needs to bulk up considerably (like a ton), but he might have the best hands in the draft combined with great hockey IQ, and is doing scary things in the second tier men's league in Sweden. Necas too needs to bulk up, but I think those two might have the highest ceilings of the 4.

Mittelstadt I look at as a winger compared to those 3, He's so slick offensively (those hands!), but his off puck game needs work when I saw him in the USHL especially, where he plays center and it was very noticeable. At the u18s last year, he was a winger and looked much better. Not a big deal, but I don't view him as a center, and I do wonder if he will be more a great scorer than all-around player. Hopefully I can see another game in the USHL after his high school season.

I love Vilardi, but skating is the main issue. But he does everything else so well, is one of the youngest in the draft, and I think his hockey IQ is top notch. He's been mostly a winger this year, but it's more a team reason with Logan Brown. I've seen him play both, and I do think he can be a center. If he can keep working hard on his skating and bulk up, he reminds me a little of Scheifele as a ceiling comp. But it needs serious work. Not inherently slow when he's in stride, just fundamentals-wise it's a bit ugly. I've seen him the most this year because OHL games are more readily available.

Rasmussen I don't have anywhere close to them. I have him in the mid-late teens honestly. Some scouts also have him there; a few (like the guy who had McLeod #3 behind Matthews/Laine all year) are over the moon with him. I don't see it. He's really big and is really good around the net and along the boards. But his skating is also a bit clunky, and I don't think his skill level is high enough to balance it out. Like he's OK....but he just seems low ceiling to me. And fwiw, he's maybe the worst 5v5 scoring top prospect. 65% of his points are on the PP or something.
