Saw the Phantoms lost 5-3 the other day. With all the defensive prospects playing there and 2 of our top goalie prospects you would think they wouldn't keep giving up a bunch of goals. Havent seen all the games but they all seem to be high scoring games.

Well the phantoms are on TV tonight at the same time the flyers are. I know which one I'll be watching. They're playing the baby pens...a well oiled machine so I'm interested in how the prospects stack up. I'm starting to get concerned with the continuous underwhelming reports on Morin from phantoms fans

Hextall can do both....If he does sell, which in my mind is a no brainer, then he should give some of the kids a little look. They can go back at anytime. It's not like the flyers are going to make the playoffs.

I hate to be negative, but is there anyone else having a hard time over last season and this to get fired up about this team? They're not awful I just find them to be difficult to get too excited for.

I think thats pretty normal.

With the right moves going forward their time will come, but its largely been very meh the last few years. I think they finally get the true value of drafting/developing and picks. Take out Chicago, Washington, Edmonton and Pittsburgh - basically all teams loaded with talent from being super poopty, and you have a bunch of parody. Teams with holes.

Call me insane, but I would be able to stomach a year or 2 of picking top 3.

I get teams won't always have the most talent, but I expect more effort. I'm also thinking they have been out coached this season. There something missing from this team, not just talent.

I'm not going into coaching haha.

I would actually defend them on one thing, from the games I have seen I dont question effort. I think the vast majority of them are giving it nearly their all. Minus a few guys.

You've basically got those elite clubs with a chance at being at the top year after year.

A dynamic and dominant core group of players. All those teams for the most part (maybe minus Edmonton) need to worry about is the secondary pieces to fill in the rest of the team.

I think you need that solid core to start, thats key. I dont think the Flyers are there yet.
