So many of you guys fall in love with players and forget were trying to win a Stanley cup.

How much do you think his extension is gonna cost? I want to win the cup too. We need guys like him on this team. He's scoring like a 1st liner but I really can't see him getting paid like one.

Popular? It's not a popularity contest. People come here to talk hockey and shouldn't have to put up with small minded people that just hurl insults. Maybe you sit by and watch this kind of thing in your day to day life but I've never been one to put up with it. I call people out on their bullpoop. I dont actually find any of his poop bothersome. He calls it how he sees it. I dont see it the same way, though I am in agreement that this team is a number one Defender away from being a true contender. Looking at our depth, Im not sure where we can get one in trade without seriously depleting another area of the team.

Which brings up another good question: Would you entertain the thought of trading Maroon?

Underrated hockey IQ. Yes sir. Has a knack for finding good open scoring ice, especially for a big guy.

We can't, and this team is still a work in progress despite how well they've done this year. They have no business eviscerating the forwards to acquire one. Who's to say guys like Klefbom and Nurse cant grow into the role?

Undersized and unphysical. Playing behind Weber, Subban and Josi these years isn't really a check in his favor imo. He's a rh shot, about the only thing that interests me. I wouldn't trade Maroon for him, although I think Nashville would in a heartbeat.

Nurse would be a stretch. Klef is the more likely candidate.

He's shown repeatedly that no amount of arguing with him changes a thing. All the engagement does is just ruin the thread. He feels how he feels and he has a right to, however relentlessly wrong he may be. Just ignore it and move on.

Possibly, but dmen have such a weird curve. Nurse was really starting to look good before his injury. They've brought Klefbom along slower and he's really showing the benefits of those earlier sheltered minutes. He's definitely got the physical tools.

I like big strong forwards. We have been a small, weak, team that gets pushed around for years. I love the fact that we take it to other teams now.
