Rizzo with the Cubs since Jan. 6, 2012....Bryant since 2015. Rizzo the longest tenured Cub. Heckler not even close.
- ILGolfer

Bryant wasn't even drafted until 13. Is that a satire article?

don't understand the seabs haters. he's going nowhere. one of the key leaders right from the start of the cup run. get over his contract folks, not like you shelling out the coin.
- Vanhawk

It's not about shelling out the coin..... it's about creating cap space to get younger faster and cap friendly. We all love Seabs but this is a business that often needs change because of the hard cap to stay competitively in the top 4 or 5 of the NHL.

Read a report stating Shalunov could be a Blackhawk by March 1st. Add him and get Hanzal in and we're looking really good indeed.

As for the summer it's looking more and more likely that we'll be losing Kruger for definite and probably Crawford now by the looks of it. Let's hope they get Darling signed before that happens.

If it was The Athletic's article, it was mostly speculative.

The one I read the club that were keen on him offered someone else a contract at the last minute leaving him looking for a club at the end of the season. I hope it works out cos it would be a fantastic signing.

Totally Agree..... EK is brutal........ JJ is usually SPOT ON !!
Great work JJ as usual. Please keep the information coming on Hanzel and a possible added Dman. Both are needed for a big run....... or......would really love
to get Boyle to add some size and net presence to this team...... if Tampa continues to fall, is there any chance of acquiring him ??????

agree and if you watch the stream Ek always tries to hang on to garbage rumors and the other guys usually shoot them down because they're asinine

I read that as well, he doesn't want to continue playing for his current team and wants to be traded to CSKA. But, maybe they don't want to oblige and have to face him, so they release him from his contract

HI JJ,

I was under the impression the glass signing was so that he could be possibly taken in the expansion draft.

- Hank3Henshaw

So was I. but all I was told specifically was "it was of significance." That can be interpreted a lot of ways. I will probably hear more though.

ANYONE WITH ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE PM ME, I WILL RESPOND. THX

We need to understand the media better. It is not in their best interest nor is it a priority to get things right. They want to get more people to click on their site. Hockeybuzz, CNN, FOX, Yahoo, ESPN etc..

LeBrun

Arizona Coyotes centre Martin Hanzal, a pending unrestricted free agent, could potentially be dealt before the end of the weekend as Coyotes GM John Chayka dials in on the ramped-up offers he has received.

Arizona is down to a handful of teams from the list of 10 potential trade partners it had two weeks ago. It's always hard to pinpoint the timing on these things because teams sometimes extend the window by improving their offers in a desperate attempt to stay in the chase, but I think Chayka feels he can get this done in a matter of days.

At 25 years, 7 Months and 18 days of age, Klas Dahlbeck is the oldest defenseman in the Hurricanes lineup.

Also, he sucks.

As a Coyote fan (yes we do exist haha) and season ticket holder, I am excited at the direction of the franchise. We have a lot of young talent at the forward spot, and young D-men coming to. While we do skirt around the cap, it did get us Chychrun in the draft, which is looking like a steal thus far...

I would like to commend the Hawks fans who pretty much filled our barn a few weeks ago. While it's frustrating to be in the minority at a home game, the Hawks fans were a class act with no sh!t talking before during or after, just loudly cheering on their team. I only wish fans of other teams would emulate this behavior rather than be a bunch of douche canoes (especially Flyers, Red Wings and Kings fans that attend games).

Anyway, I think Hanzal to the Hawks would definitely get them out of the west. Not sure what we would get back but watching last nights game, I'll take any of the young forwards to add to our mix. Hawks vs. Caps or Pens would be an awesome and historic finals....

Nice to see a Coyotes fan here.

What are your thoughts on Dvorak? I have watched his development a little bit as the pick used to draft him is what the Hawks gave up in the Rundblad trade.

I am liking what I am seeing. His year started off slow, but that was more a by product of Tippett being stupid and playing him only 10-11 minutes a game. Now that he is on the 2nd line, we are starting to see the scoring ability he displayed in Junior. With him and Strome, I like where our center position is going but it would be nice to add a definite 1C (easier said then done) and follow the Pens model of 3 scoring lines rather than top 6, bottom 6. I'd put Domi, Dvorak and Perlini on a line and watch the magic happen. Or put in DuClair and move Perlini with Strome and Keller next year. I've heard comparisons of Keller to Kane, and even if he is 85% of what Kane is that would be awesome...

Yes, thank you very much for that pick. The future is bright and the light is starting to shine in the tunnel thank god...
